TTC journey tracking ovulation has been tough

Hi I'm 33 and just started my TTC journey end of January. So far no lucki. And so far just figuring out ovulation has been difficult. First month of testing got 6 different positive test dates. My periods have become very long and my cycles are much longer than the average 28. Been tested for PCOS don't have that just had a second blood test to Test progesterone and for iron deficiency. This is technically fourth month and I am still struggling. Could do with advise for anyone who couldn't track ovulation with the strips. What are the better alternatives? Thank you :)

Hi OP. Just to start off, four months really isn't that long. So try not to stress. Although, I know it feels long when you're in it. What do you mean when you say you got six different positive test dates? When did your cycles become longer? An alternative to OPKs is BBT which is tracking your temperature every day but i don't know much about that!

Hi @SureLook thank you for your reply and reassurance:) so when I first started testing I would get multiple positives throughout the month so has been difficult to pinpoint my ovulation. However, I have just started using pre mom today and I've noticed that it could be that it's picking up the LH levels. But my main trouble is figuring out if and when I'm ovulating:/ I would say my cycles became longer since last year can be anything from 31- 39 days. This last month longer as I had a three week period. Hope that makes more sense :p I've heard testing BT is good but find it a bit confusing but definitely worth trying so thank you for the suggestion :)

Do you want to put up a screenshot of your Premom app so I can have a look? The OPKs will nearly always have a faint line. The test line has to be darker than the control line for it to be positive. The look LH which can help show you when ovulation is coming x

So you had your peak on CD42 at 7:45am. You then tested at 10:58pm which showed a low result. This means you had your highest test result on CD42. It is normal to get the peak quickly and for it to drop down again quickly also. You most likely ovulated within 24 hours after the peak. An OPK is only considered positive when you get your peak. All the rest are negative. I hope that helps x

@SureLook thank you that really does help! :) I think this happened to me one of the first couple months as well! I also had my blood test yesterday to test my progesterone levels so fingers crossed it was within right amount of time and that I didn't miss my window of opportunity to try either 🙏❤️

As long as you had sex around CD42 then you should be good 🤞🏻

Thanks I did! So guess just the waiting game now 🙏🙈🤞
