Clear Blue Advanced OPK Reliable?

I’m just wondering if people in general found the purple clear blue ovulation sticks reliable? The reason I’ve asked is I’ve been trying for 9 months with them, and no luck. But also this month I’m getting a flashing smiley but I’ve also been doing temping and if the temping is correct I’ve likely already ovulated. The pain in my side has also come and gone. I used cheap ones also but I’ve never had a clear cut just as dark as the control line really on those. We’ve been following SMEP and DTD every second day but I thought for sure I’d have a static smiley by now and was gearing up for 3 days in a row but still flashing and just a bit confused. Would you trust the clear blue more so than the temping?

I’ve never had a problem with the clearblue tests but I guess you could of missed your peak? I would assume temping is the most reliable way of checking you’ve ovulated!
