Im 12 DPO tomorrow - i think i might test 🤔 xx ive had a dull ache most of the day which when googling could be the aftermath of implantation orrr the start of my period - im not due on until Tuesday xx

I'm 8DPO so it'll be the end of next week if I test. I'm not sure whether I'll test or just wait to see if AF arrives (due in 9 days).

@Adca I tested today at 12dpo cause that's when AF was due. I wanted to wait as long as possible to avoid getting my hopes up and then being disappointed.

So i tested and i cant see anything 😞 my period is due Tuesday. You would surely see something on a test by now wouldnt you? Xx

@SureLookyes, that's why I'm considering waiting to see if AF comes. Last month I tested negative but kept a little bit of hope that maybe it was just too early to be picked up.
It's really hard not to test though - I find myself counting down 🙈

@VanessaShanessaJenkins99 aw I'm sorry. I guess it depends. If you're certain you are 12dpo, and you used a early result test with FMU, then I think you are probably out this month I'm afraid 🙁

It was just a regular test, its weird because i slept for 10 hours last night which is unheard of now i have a toddler! Had back ache yesterday too x who knows xx

I was supposed to call the clinic on cycle day 1 to book a hycosy. I had red cm on Thursday and what I thought was full flow (brown) on Friday. Nothing since then, which makes me think maybe that wasn’t my period and it’s still to come, or maybe it was but that it was ridiculously short and light. It wasn’t implantation, BFN. Sore boobs usually disappear after I get my period, and they’re not sore anymore. Should I just assume that was a period or risk having to wait yet another month for the hycosy? Every day that goes by I feel is wasted time. There was two more pregnancy announcements this weekend in my friend group, neither were even ‘trying’🥲

@Clara202 do you do BBT? If you do, your temps should tell you which phase you're in. If not, I really recommend starting, as it will tell you some important things about your cycle.
I don't know what you should do about the hycosy. Are your periods always much longer/heavier than this bleed you just had? Perhaps you could call the clinic and ask them - perhaps there's a blood test they can do which would confirm where you are in your cycle or something?

@Adca I tested early in March and was gutted then when AF arrived. I couldn't do that to myself again. I was extremely tempted on Wednesday (9dpo) though. It's very hard to resist.

@Clara202 I would ring the clinic and see what they say. I'm sure they come across situations like this all the time. And sorry about the announcements. They're very hard to hear x

The problem is i think every single symptom could be either early pregnancy or AF is imminent! I slept so long last night which isnt normal for me, my boobs are more tender than usual but 🤷🏼‍♀️ - i had back ache but that could be anything lol. I am just going to wait until Tuesday when i am due on. I am going to BBT this cycle, alongside with the OPK testing, it might give me a good idea. And also this cycle im meant to be getting my blood test xx

@SureLook @GrizzlyTheBear No I stopped bbt after confirming ovulation. I will start daily again, I find it hard to remember to do it. I will call the clinic tomorrow and see what they recommend. My period has been light but I’d have expected more days, 3 or 4. The sore boobs always disappear once it starts, that’s the only symptom or lack of that makes me think that was it. The full feeling in my lower stomach is also gone, which I had last week. I will ask the clinic for their advice anyway.

Oh that's fab @Clara202 - if you normally do BBT then you know what temp range you would have if you are in your follicular phase, and what range in your luteal phase. So if you temp tomorrow you might know then, or you might need another day to be sure? Then you'll know whether you have started a new cycle or not.

@GrizzlyTheBear I never bbt for the full month though. I only did it for a few days for the last few days of my period, coming up to ovulation and then maybe 3 days after ovulation. I will attach an example below. My temperature today (bear in mind it’s quite warm this week) is 36.98.

@Clara202 oh I see. It's difficult to pinpoint ovulation from that chart as there's not much difference between your temps.
I hope it's okay for me to say this, but I think I'd want someone to say it to me if it was me. I don't think that chart definitively shows ovulation, and suspect that if you hadn't entered an OPK that Fertility Friend might not have pinpointed ovulation at all (based on the limited temps you've entered). OPKs alone do not prove you've ovulated as they also detect failed attempts at ovulation.
If I was you, I would really want information on whether you are actually ovulating, and if you are, how long your luteal phase is, as both these are vital for conception. A full month of BBT should tell you this. If you aren't ovulating regularly, or your luteal phase is too short, you need to know, as it can be easy to fix, and if you don't know you are just wasting months.

Do you only get one chance at the hycosy? Does it not work properly if you're at the wrong cycle stage?

Also 36.98 is higher than any temp on your chart bar the crazy one, so that would indicate you have not just had a period. It's not enough info on it's own to make a decision about the hycosy, but another temp tomorrow might confirm?

@GrizzlyTheBear you’re not overstepping at all, that’s why I’m here! I did find it strange that all 3 doctors I’ve seen have just taken my word for it that I’m ovulating. My understanding was that strips don’t actually confirm that. I feel like they looked at my bloods, amh, afc, and took for granted that there’s nothing else to see here.
They say to get the hycosy done at some stage before the 10th day of your cycle. I think they’re strict on that as to confirm you’re not pregnant, but can’t be done while you’re still bleeding.

@Clara202 I really recommend the Oura ring if you want to get better at tracking! I was also so bad at remembering but since having the ring I don’t even have to think about it as it does it automatically 😊 I’ve got the oldest generation (as it was cheaper) and really only use it to track my sleep, stress and BBT. But it does loads of other stuff too!

Also guys I think I just got my BFP 😭😭😭😭 very faint as only 9/10 DPO but definitely a line!!!

I tested last night, so i would be 12DPO and i am sure i can see a line, very feint but i compared it to the tests that i stuck in my book and it was the same sort of strength as the one i had with my son at 9DPO - Im due on tomorrow. So i will try and wait until Wednesday morning and then hopefully do a test then. The problem is im finding that my FMU isnt that much of a hold as im getting up in the night to have a wee!
