Hi all. Moving over from the Christmas due date thread to continue the chats and support x

Yeah I suppose anyone at any age produces some dodgy eggs/sperm, but the older you get the higher the percentage of dodgy ones, so it makes sense there would be more bad luck. Hopefully that's all it is for both of us.
Yeah, just a negative test in 3 weeks and they're happy. I know what to expect this time at least.

@GrizzlyTheBear that makes sense. This thread started off with such good luck and now we've had three losses. We'll get it back to good luck 🌈✨️❤️

That's one consolation, at least you know what to expect. God, I'm so sorry this is happening to you again. It's so unfair.

@GrizzlyTheBear god im so sorry to hear 😔 but you did have a gut feeling from so early on so as you said, atleast that’s not quite as bad than being totally blindsided at a scan. Did the scan show how far along you got or had the bleeding started before then? Hoping you all get your lovely 2026 summer babies 🌞

@HopefulCove no, the bleeding was pretty much over by the scan so no idea. It is what it is, and like you say it is easier when you are already suspicious everything might not be right.
I'm really happy everything seems to be going right for you. Only two days until you are (pretty much) home safe 🤞

Hi everyone, I’m going to have to spend some time reading back on everything I’ve missed but I hope everyone is doing well.

I started IVF treatment, it all happened so quickly and I was trying just to concentrate on that. Unfortunately my cycle was cancelled after only a week on the medication as I didn’t respond well enough, I didn’t get many follicles at all. I was pretty disappointed. I’m now waiting on a bleed to start again on a slightly different protocol so there haven’t been any TTC, ovulation tests or temping here for the past number of weeks. They expected me to bleed last week but unfortunately it hasn’t happened yet so everything seems to be dragging on a bit.

Oh @Clara202 that sounds really tough. Is it full on IVF, or 'just' meds to induce ovulation or similar? Sorry I'm not very clued up on how it all works. Glad they are taking it all seriously at last though.

@HopefulCove how was your scan?

Scan went well thank you! 12 + 5 days so more ahead than I thought. What do you guys think? 🩷 or 💙? @SureLook@GrizzlyTheBear@VanessaShanessaJenkins99where are you now at with your TTC journey? Are you back to tracking ovulation or giving yourself a little break?

@GrizzlyTheBear it’s full on ivf due to my age and low morph on husband’s side. If we were younger they’d have likely tried other things first or left us a bit longer but they said as it’s publicly funded they recommended to give it everything they’ve got.

@HopefulCove wow what a good picture. None of mine ever looked that good! 😂 I can't help with the boy/girl in a scientific way, but I'm going to guess boy!
I'm not tracking yet - will wait until bleeding finished and then start temping I guess. Even if we decide not to try this cycle I like to track ovulation so I know when my period's coming.

@Clara202 at least you're throwing everything at it, so I guess that's the best chance. How many attempts do you get funded where you are?

I got my period back yesterday 🥳 about four weeks since I started spotting or three and a half weeks since I took the tablets. So the countdown to TTC again is on!

@SureLook wow that's really quick for a period after an MC. You must be chuffed it's come and you can crack on!
I'm fine, still bleeding lightly but nothing terrible. CD6 at my best guess, so at some point soon we will have to decide whether to try this cycle. Not yet though - still at the gin stage at the moment!

@GrizzlyTheBear only one funded full cycle, allowing for two cancelled cycles within that and I have had one cancelled already.

@GrizzlyTheBear yeah, I'm delighted. It came back four weeks after my D&C in February too.
You keep cracking on with that gin. You deserve it!

Hi All - i too started my first period since the miscarriage yesterday @SureLook - so that means i did ovulate on holiday and all of that holiday sex was futile! But i am pleased in a way that i have had a whole cycle. It was a 40 day cycle but to be honest the first one after a miscarriage im guessing can always be a random length.
How are you all doing? The scan picture is lovely @HopefulCove - fingers crossed we will all be getting one of our own in the near future!
I had an absolutely shocking week last week. One of my cats was hit and killed :( i am absolutely heartbroken. We has such a beautiful boy.

@VanessaShanessaJenkins99 that's mad that we both got it back on the same day! Yeah, it's hard to know how long it's gonna be. At least they're back!
I'm doing OK. We didn't get great news in relation to my Dad's cancer treatment so we're processing that. My MMC baby would have been born next month and it would have been so nice to give him another grandchild. I'm hoping I still can.
Oh, no. That's so awful about your cat. My friend lost her dog last week. It's so sad. I hope you're all doing OK x

@SureLook yes once I get one full round completed, successful or not, any tests, scans, rounds after that will have to be paid for. So I’m praying it does work. I’m unsure what I can do to increase our chances, there’s so much information out there, you couldn’t do everything.

Sorry I've been AWOL. Just needed a bit of breathing space for a few days where I didn't think about bleeding or ovulating or any of it! But I'm feeling more 'over it' now I think. I had EWCM yesterday so think I might be ovulating which is really early compared to how long it took after the last MC, but if @SureLook can do it, so can I 😂

Surelook and @VanessaShanessaJenkins99 I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, and your cat. Life is so complex and awful at times isn't it 😞

@Clara202 how are you getting on? Have you had your period yet?

@SureLook well we hadn't quite made a decision yet, but did have sex because I thought I wouldn't ovulate for a few more days at least, whoops. So the decision is out of our hands this month, but we will talk it over more seriously before next month.

Well, let's see what happens this month and go from there. I've always admired your attitude to TTC since I joined this thread. Keep the head up ❤️
