@VanessaShanessaJenkins99 I'm the same. I think the continuous testing can drive you mad and really affect you. What will be will be but fingers crossed 🤞🏻

@Clara202 ah, delighted my fellow Irish lady! Aww sorry to hear you're a bit disappointed. I don't know much about Hycosy but we have to assume these doctors know what they're talking about! How long will it take for your to get an appointment to start your treatment?

@SureLook they asked us to rank our preferred clinics 1-3, they said the one we had at #1 would likely be in touch within 4 weeks so I’m presuming it will all happen very quickly. Still giving it another go this month in the hope that we’ll be one of those people who fall pregnant right before their fertility appointment! 🤞

SureLook · 31/05/2025 22:22

@Clara202 four weeks isn't too bad! Definitely keep trying, you never know! Remind me of your back story. How long have you been trying?

Clara202 · 31/05/2025 22:33

@SureLook ttc #1 since September, 38 years old. 4 weeks isn’t long at all but I think I’m just sad that we didn’t manage to get it done naturally. I went to the GP to have the investigations sooner than the 6 month mark just as a precaution in case we didn’t get pregnant in the meantime, but it’s been 9 months almost 10 and it didn’t happen. The thoughts of treatment, injections, hormones and moods is pretty overwhelming and may not even work. I’m seeing things about increased risk of birth defects in ivf/icsi which are worrying as well (although I do realise these things are rare).

SureLook · 01/06/2025 06:50

@Clara202 aww, I understand that you're sad. It's so hard and such a minefield. The increased risk is probably tiny and rare, like you say. I've read many success stories on here about IVF. I know it can seem overwhelming and it's a lot, especially for the woman, but at least it's an option x

Just want to pop back on thread and say congratulations to all you ladies with your BFPs ❤️ I’m back in the 2 weeks wait now. I’m from wales so if I get a BFP too I’ll be your Welsh lassie lol 🤣

Haha @Iris2024 😂 good luck this TWW!

@Clara202 wow, four weeks seems quite quick, I'm impressed. Definitely try this month, you never know! My bestie was one of those who conceived her first just before her appointment - it's definitely a thing!

@VanessaShanessaJenkins99 It's a good sign that you're feeling tired and nauseous, I would think. Fingers crossed that means everything is growing as it should be.

Thank you :) - I've decided i'm not going to buy any more of the clear blue weeks tests - it would only stress me out. Im just going to go with the flow and fingers crossed its all fine xx

SureLook · 02/06/2025 08:55

@VanessaShanessaJenkins99 I think that's for the best. I'm just leaving it all now as well. I haven't had anymore spotting so I'm hoping it was just a one off.

I do have a 2 and a half year old though so I am always in some sort of tired mess!!
I do have a fit bit though and I have gone back and looked at my "cardio load" figures and for the past 4 or 5 weeks ive had a reading every single day, anywhere between 3 and 12! So im guessing my body is working on something behind the scenes! xx

HopefulCove · 03/06/2025 12:23

hey all! How is everyone feeling? I’m 5+3 today and anxiously waiting for the sickness/nausea to set in! 🫣

@Iris2024 fingers crossed for you this cycle! How many DPO are you?

@Clara202 are you also in the TWW? X

I am 5+4 and am prepping myself for the sickness! I have 2 fresh spots today so thats nice!

GrizzlyTheBear · 03/06/2025 13:35

@VanessaShanessaJenkins99 I am also really spotty - the joys eh. I have greasy hair too so I'm really looking smokin' at the moment 😬 I can't believe nobody ever clocks I'm pregnant as it's so bleeding obvious! Did you get sickness in your last pregnancy?

@HopefulCove how are you apart from the nervously waiting for sickness?

I'm 7 weeks now. A month of sickness to go and then the sweet spot before the mammoth phase. I'm terrified everything isn't right though - I don't think I'm sick enough. But there's no way of finding out so just gotta stick with it 🫤

I recall that i was queasy but i don't think i was actually sick! Were you sick on with your previous pregnancies? They say yes for a girl and no for a boy but I know plenty of people who didnt stick to that old wives tale!.
Do you have any scans booked in or are you waiting for your 12 weeker? xx

Clara202 · 03/06/2025 14:08

@HopefulCove yes I suppose I am! We gave it another try, not that we feel in any way hopeful 🥲 I’m 2dpo.

GrizzlyTheBear · 03/06/2025 14:14

@VanessaShanessaJenkins99 I've had both sexes and was sick with both unfortunately. Just going to wait for the 12 week scan and hope for the best. You have a scan booked IIRC?

@Clara202 that's great, hopefully this is your month. Did you do BBT this cycle?

Clara202 · 03/06/2025 14:38

@GrizzlyTheBear I did but unfortunately a 3 days were missed prior to ovulation due to an unforeseen work trip where I forgot to bring my thermometer, so I don’t know how accurate it will be. I did see a big drop and then a rise but they didn’t match up with my opks so another month of uncertainty I think.

SureLook · 03/06/2025 14:40

Hi @HopefulCove I'm 6+1. Sore boobs and tiredness have ramped up. I had to nap over the weekend which I never do! How are you?

@VanessaShanessaJenkins99 @GrizzlyTheBear the spots and greasy hair haven't hit me yet. I didn't get them the last time or any sickness and I had a girl!

@GrizzlyTheBear I'm trying not to question my symptoms or look into things too much. But I definitely feel more pregnant than I did the last time with the MMC. I'm hoping the tiredness is a good sign. I didn't have any tiredness the last time but I remember being wiped out on my DD. So fingers crossed for us all 🤞🏻

GrizzlyTheBear · 03/06/2025 14:51

@Clara202 that's annoying for you! Though even if you can't pinpoint O day you will still hopefully be able to see a general difference in temps between follicular and luteal phases and be confident you did ovulate at some point. Or conversely you might not see much difference and then you'd know to question whether you are ovulating with the clinic. It's still super useful. Got my fingers crossed for you!

@SureLook that sounds promising. Lucky you not being prone to morning sickness, wow! The tiredness is real though isn't it. I found girl pregnancy much more tiring than boy pregnancy... so I think you are having another girl!

Yeah on the 28th - I should be 9 weeks and 2 days so fingers crossed everything will be ok - my husband is away next week and I couldnt get in on the 21st. My booking in appointment with the midwife is on the 26th.

SureLook · 03/06/2025 14:58

@Clara202 you never know, this could be your month 🤞🏻

@GrizzlyTheBear I know, I'm so lucky to escape it. The tiredness is like nothing else! Oooh interesting. Let's start placing bets 😂😂

Will anyone find out the gender? I am, I'm way too impatient 😂

OP posts:
Clara202 · 03/06/2025 15:12

@GrizzlyTheBear I know I should be looking for a temp dip right before ovulation, and then 3 or more days of a rise? But what else should I be looking for, what difference should I see from follicular to luteal?
@SureLook I was talking to my husband before we started ttc (back when were naive and thought we’d have 2 or 3 kids😅), and we said we wouldn’t find out on the first but that we would for the second and perhaps do the cake/cupcake reveal thing but just for something fun for the two of us to find out alone together, nobody else involved, no big parties or videos or anything. How exciting for you!
