Can you ovulate on cycle day 8?

I wasn’t expecting to ovulate for another week but yesterday I had heaps of egg white cervical mucus and now I’ve had a big temperature rise this morning. I was using the clearblue advanced ovulation tests and yesterday was low but today is now flashing high (not peak yet). I had a miscarriage a month ago so this is my first proper cycle after my first period so I know it can be a bit crazy but my last cycle was the same length, I just ovulated a week later.

Have I ovulated? If I got pregnant woukd there be a risk of miscarriage as my lining hasn’t had a chance to grow? My period only ended a couple of days ago!!

Possibly not yet if you're just getting the flashing, and the temp might be a random one, which could be caused by anything (having a couple of drinks the previous night would sometimes cause spikes for me). That said, I ovulated on CD7 or 8 last cycle (second after a MC), as I got a LH surge on CD6 🤯. Keep with the temping though and you should have a better idea as the week progresses.

I’m hoping it’s just a random high one as we want to start trying this cycle and don’t feel like it’ll lead to anything good if I conceived this early but felt I had a really good, deep sleep and even woke up a bit confused so thought my temperature would on the most accurate side! Time will tell. Thanks for your response! Sorry for your loss as well.

I had a random high temp on CD11 this cycle, but every other temp was normal so I discounted it, and ovulated like normal.
