Hi guy's after a recent post were most women advised me not to wait its spurred me to ask how many of you ladies have had succesful pregnancies at 38 plus and how long did it take to concieve?
I am just 38 and lost a baby at 10 weeks in October 24 and due to a summer 4 week trip have felt holding off untill we return end of August is the best option as dh cant travel with us and i would have our earthside children with us. But some ladies answers have made me feel it might be too late.. anyone like to input there experience

It's totally up to you whether you want to wait to start trying. How easy or hard was it to fall pregnant last year? Which i just want to say I'm very sorry for your loss. Yes your age can be a factor and egg productivity and quality slow down and isn't as great but that is not always the case for everyone. There are some woman still falling pregnant naturally in their early 40s.. I guess you could have some tests run to see where your hormone levels and all the things are sitting and go from there.

So sorry to hear about your loss. I’m 38 in two weeks. It’s taken almost 18 months and a lot of help/tests and meds to get pregnant this time. I wouldn’t wait. Good luck. x

@Mum23boys1987 well I sure hope it's not too late for you as I'm approaching 40 In a few months and I'm trying for #2
We're hoping to do ivf in few months time.
My first baby ( although also ivf baby ) I had him 9 months ago . I have quite bad pcos tho so produce really shitty eggs and we have male problem aswell, Along with a tubal issue but we managed to get a viable egg. If not for that , I'd have every hope of falling pregnant naturally as we did at 37, just before the ivf but miscarried. ( couldn't get pregnant at all in my 20s)
At 38 I wouldn't write yourself off. If we didn't have multiple fertility issues that required ivf , we were told there was still a good chance of having a baby for that age bracket. Our clinic had good rates upto 40 and its after that things dwindle very very fast. Everyone is different tho and it's worth getting some basic tests? That will give you a better picture.
