Hey everyone,
wanted to come on and see if anyone else is in a similar boat to me.

I’m 36 with a son (nearly 3) and I’ve been TTC and tracking my cycles for 7 months now with no success. I have a 26 day cycle every month and ovulate quite late - somewhere between day 16 and 19. I’ve read having a shorter luteal phase can prevent any fertilised eggs from implanting so I’ve went to the dr and they’ve doing blood tests and sperm tests on us both just to see how things are going

Does anyone else have a similar cycle and ovulation day and have any advice? I’m beginning to get quite anxious there’s something wrong. We conceived first month trying with my son so I know this could be perfectly normal as it’s only been 7 months but the timings are making me worry

Thanks ❤️

Hey, don’t have any advice but didn’t want to read and run.
We’re in a pretty similar situation, ttc #2 for 6 months, also have a nearly 3 year old who was conceived very quickly. My cycle is usually between 24-27 days, we’ve only started using opk’s quite recently but it’s shown that last month I didn’t ovulate til cd 14 on a 24 day cycle. This month I’m on cd 13 and my lines are still pretty light so think it’s going to be another few days til I hit peak.
Im only 33 though so not been to the dr yet but also feeling quite anxious about it all X

Thanks so much for replying. Definitely in the same boat with most things. I got my blood results and they’ve said ‘satisfactory’ which to me doesn’t sound great but that’s all they will do I think. Maybe just our ages are making it a little more difficult and it’ll take more time for us.
it’s the late ovulation that doesn’t for me. Surely they can prolong it? Hopefully we are both successful soon thanks so much for sharing ❤️ x

Ah no problem 🥰 it’s good news that your blood test came back without any issues. It’s the late ovulation that frustrates me as well. Seems like nothing we can do will help if there isn’t time for implantation 🙈 We started taking Coq10 a couple of months ago though as that’s meant to help with the quality of the eggs and sperm. No idea if it’s doing anything but trying to be positive. Fingers crossed for us both 🤞🤞
