When to count ovilation

Hey all, I’m new to TTC, due to medical reasons, I’m now 38, and after a stroke last year, got the go ahead.

my question; I did ovulation testing ad had smiley face on sat and Sunday. My question is, do I count sat or Sunday as ovulation! So am I 9 or 10dpo. Hope this makes some sence lol

It all makes perfect sense. I assume the smiley face was a static one (clear blue). Ive used them previously and I believe the static smiley means your peak lh surge has been detected. Ovulation occurs from 12-36 hours after this point, (for calculation purposes I always went in the middle and said 24 hours).

So if you got the smiley last Saturday, I would assume ovulation was on Sunday, making Monday 1dpo, and therefore you would currently be 9dpo. Hope that helps.

Thank you! Annoying my cycle is now 23 days, so tested and assumed I had missed it. I randomly took one on the Sunday and it was static smiley on the Sunday, so can only assume I had one on the Saturday lol! (I didn’t Monday). However sorry for tmi but I did have a surge of discharge on the Saturday.
sadly hubby was working away, so dtd v late Thursday night, before ovulating. I know my chances are slim, but I guess there is a chance? 😂

There is always a chance. Sperm can live for 5 days in the woman’s body so if you dtd Thursday and ovulated Sunday, there is a chance.

It’s so hard to read lines. I have no idea if it’s a faint line or negative!! I think I just want to see something lol. I hate this. I’m either 10 or 11 dpo
