Hi everyone,
Firstly, no idea when I ovulated exactly as did not track with tests just app. I am now five days late and testing negative apart from two lines that appeared after allotted time so not counting those. Just feel pregnant, so similar to my first child six years ago I just have that feeling. Headaches, off food, twinges but testing negative.
Has anyone any experience of this who eventually tested positive. Have been dtd every two days or daily throughout cycle. My mum did not test positive until 14 weeks with myself but unsure if that was the tests available 28yrs ago, thanks xx

There’s no such thing as a “late period”. A late period is pretty much just late / delayed ovulation!

Give it a couple of days and test again? Make sure you’re using a sensitive test that detects 10miu. Good luck!

Yup, without knowing when ovulation is you can't have any idea when you're late. How regular are your cycles? To get an idea what's happening order yourself some OPKs and/or start temping. I've no idea what tests were like 28 years ago, but most tests are either sensitive to 20 and 25miu (standard tests) which would show a faint positive around day of period, or 10miu (early tests) which start to show a few days earlier.
