Another day feeling flat today. It's so harsh that you get the disappointment on top of already miserable mood and all the rubbish sides of PMS/AF. Such a double whammy. And the hamster wheel Feeling of it all.

I've tried hard to think of silver linings. Would have been a Christmas due date (not my top choice), and now I've got more time to get even healthier (DP too), and also get to eat brie and other 'forbidden' cheeses without a second thought.

Fingers crossed for some more BFPs in this group soon, and roll on May for the rest of us ❤️

@hollyhocks2if Aunt Flo does come for you tomorrow, good luck with your next cycle, I'll start a new thread on the 1st May :) I think I'll be cracking open my pornstar martini can this weekend, and having some camembert for dinner tonight xx

@KSmith94look forward to joining the May thread with you!! AF is actually due tomorrow for me, but BFN today and so I know I’m out. Just want a new cycle now. Probs going to not track or track less and see this as a free month before we have our GP appointment on the 6th x

Despite saying I wouldn't test before AF (due tomorrow), I did and it was negative. However with #1, I also got a negative the day before, and tested positive 4 days after period was meant to be due so still feeling optimistic so will wait and see if AF comes (she's normally quite regular/ predictable! )

Update: 12dpo today, got more spotting, and cramps are coming and going. Sometimes they feel like AF, and other times it is sharper.
The soreness of my boobs has gone down and been replaced with a constant headache.

I'm so 50/50 on what is going on with my body. It may be AF, it may not be.

This TWW is torture! My Flo app says to test tomorrow, and AF is due on Saturday.

@souiiiit sounds like it’s AF coming. To be fair sorry 😢 is spotting unusual for you? I’ve never had spotting with my 4 pregnancies leading up to my positive. I know all women are different though so 🤞🏼

I tend to spot for a week before AF, so a bit more delayed than usual, most likely AF :(

What tests are you using? It does sound like AF hun. How long have you been trying for? So sorry, I had a bfn today although I knew I would. Kinda like to get the disappointment out the way. I’ve said to myself now that I am allowed one FRER at 12dpo every month now and as many cheapies as I want, and if it’s BFN at 13dpo to mentally move on as it is just too hard to keep holding out hope xx

I've been using ultra-early one-step tests from Amazon. I did take a FRER at 10dpo and BFN. I've got another FRER that I'm going to take at 14dpo if AF hasn't come.

We've been trying for 5 years 😥. We've been to a fertility clinic, and they just shrugged and said it is unexplained infertility. We are trying naturally until July, and after that, we are moving forward with IUI or IVF.

How long have you been trying? Its so crappy isn't it! Sorry to hear about the BFN :(

@Butterflygirl23 I tested on Tuesday, BFN obvs, that would be around 12dpo. AF due today, and yes my cycles are fairly regular around 27 days. I've had most of my familiar AF symptoms so there's a large degree of certainty but I guess you're not out until you're out. But I'm resigned to it and trying to be philosophical. A new cycle will be a new chance.

@souiii oh gosh 5 years is a very long time! I am so sorry to hear this. I actually don’t know how I’d cope tbh, I mean I don’t have 5 years worth of time left now as I am 36 with a low egg reserve but you are amazing to have survived this process for that long!! That must be so hard to have to hear that they can’t explain the issue. Hopefully ivf will work quickly for you.
we’ve not been trying long at all, only 4 unsuccessful cycles, had a chemical last August and then stopped trying. Tried again since Jan and then not had any success since. So it’s tough. We have got a GP appointment on the 6th to discuss having a S.A. & more bloods for me. When is AF due for you?
This is such a hard crappy process, totally unenjoyable and quite frankly I am struggling despite it not being long. The disappointment is hard no matter what.
this month I think I will ease off a bit as I need to lower my expectations x

@souiii I know you probably have but have you had your progesterone tested? To spot for a week before AF isn’t overly normal and could be a reason for lack of success? A friend of my tried and tried for over a year and had tests with the GP, they confirmed all was fine. A normal progesterone amount at 7dpo should be between 13-46 pmol/ml BUT to sustain a pregnancy you need progesterone to be above 30. My friend was sitting at 19 and was told she was normal and ovulation was confirmed, except when she went elsewhere they said to her that it was no where near high enough and she had suboptimal ovulation meaning the egg was not developed properly so she would never have got pregnant! She had letrozole for 3 cycles and the BFP. Sometimes a second opinion is needed.

Yeah, it has all been tested, and it's all good. I do have a partial septate uterus, but the consultant said that it shouldn't be causing any issues.

AF is due on Saturday, spotting is slowing down.

@souiii yeah people get pregnant with that so probs not the issue at all. Fertility is such a mystery isn’t it. Like I wanna know why I haven’t conceived yet! Even just out of curiosity

Just looking for some moral support in the wait period, as I can’t talk to my friends/ family about this.
I’m late for my period, but not abnormally so at the moment. My cycles are usually around 30 days, but I’ve had one or two outliers at 34/35 days in the years I’ve been tracking. I ovulated on the 8th I think as I had some cramping and spotting (contrary to what the Flo App says) around that time, and I’m currently experiencing cramping like my period will come on at any moment, but I haven’t had a period yet. I want to wait till at least Sunday before testing if my period doesn’t come on before then.
The waiting is tough when you don’t want to say anything to anyone you know :’D. Especially if I just get my period.
It seems like everyone is in a similar boat to me,

I think if you ovulated on the 8th you’ll be 16dpo and you should get a result on a test. I’d take a test to put your mind at ease x

its definitely hard keeping this to ourselves. The two week wait can be very very isolating and lonely and anxiety inducing.

I think I’ve been trying to avoid it due to the expense of the tests if I was to get my period, but I think it’s probably for the best really.
