10dpo- too early to test?

Am I mad for starting to test at 10dpo? Hold me back, tell me it’s a bad idea 😂 I’m currently 6dpo and keep feeling 10dpo is a feasible time to start testing. Is it a very mixed bag on if tests are reliable then? Or more that if you don’t test positive at 10dpo, chances are you’re out?

I’m desperate to TRY and hold out until AF is due. But at nearly a week in, my will power is drastically fading 😂😂

It’s like you just NEED to do it! I know fine well that it will be negative at 7dpo but I won’t relax unless I do it😂

Definitely a mixed bag. It depends on implantation date and the concentration of hormone in your urine. I've had an early positive at 9 dpo (third baby, only tested because I had slight nausea and a "feeling")... but I've also tested negative at (what I thought was) 14 dpo, followed by a late BFP (first baby, I had zero clue about how to track my cycles properly back then)!

hold out one more day if you can! Even two. I got a strong pos on clear blue and FRER early response or rapid whatever it’s called at 12/13 Dpo. Good luck!!!

You could get a positive at 10dpo if:

You truly are 10dpo and not out by 12-24 hours.
You are using a decent early detection test.
Your urine isn’t too diluted.

Test this morning and report back.

I start testing at 7dpo
I’ve had a faint line at 8dpo with my ds so I know it’s possible for me.
as long as bfn doesn’t make you feel down then no harm.
i find it stops me symptom spotting if i know my test that morning was negative if that makes any sense! Other wise I’d convince myself this was it

It’s probably worth mentioning op that it takes 5dpo for the fertilised egg to start the implantation process so getting a positive HPT before then is incredibly rare.

The egg has to travel along the tube and then find a desired spot in the uterine lining before implanting. It takes 5 days for the egg to develop and divide into the optimum number of cells before implantation can begin. They are very particular those little eggs 😊
