When to test?

We are new to trying.
I was due my period on Friday, but haven’t started yet. No usual period symptoms either like a drop in mood, tender breasts or cramping. Might all be in my head. Should I test now, or wait?

You are two days late, I would test now. If you are pregnant, it will almost certainly show on a test at this point.

Edited to add, are you certain of when you ovulated?

Not 100% certain. Use app on my phone, but want to get ovulation tests.

You should get pretty much a definite answer now, you wouldn’t need FMU either x

We're trying too and the fertility specialist told us to try before, during and after ovulation.

So for a classic 28 days cycle, day 10, 13, 16, and 19!

But would definitely take the test!

Came back negative - but not sure I dipped for long enough. A part of me was hoping for good news on Mother’s Day!

So it’s been two days since the negative test. I still haven’t had my period and it was due on Friday. I want to retest now but DH said I am meant to wait 6 days after missed period. Thoughts??

You don’t need to wait six days. If you’re fairly regular then now is a good time to test. You could have ovulated later than expected. Test tomorrow with first morning urine. Goodluck! X

My partner was quite annoyed that I tested so early and then didn’t do it properly 😅 but I think you’re right, I’ll do it again tomorrow morning. I’m very regular, but I could’ve ovulated later than expected yeah.

What tests are you using by the way? Be mindful that different tests have different HCG sensitivity levels. Some are 10miu and others are 25miu. I tested around 10DPO, 1 week before my period was due and I had a very obvious positive on the 10miu test but negative on the 25miu test!
