Anyone preparing to TTC number 2?

Were thinking about biting the bullet and ttc number 2 and im equally excited and terrified 😂

LO is 15 months and we’re hoping to start in a couple of months after a big holiday.

Anyone in the same boat? I’m trying to keep busy, up my vitamins and try to do some exercise so would be good to hear from others in the ‘prep’ stage.

Honestly - I just threw the condoms in the bin and went with the flow for the first few months 🤣 didn’t want to overthink it and get hung up on it all.

Hi!

We are also thinking of starting soon. I have a 20 months old and still breastfeeding and taking prenatals.

I’ve just ordered some ovulation sticks and going to start tracking my cycle a bit more closely again.

Exciting times Smile

Hi! I started ttc when my little girl was 14 months, didn’t get my first period back until then. I had ectopic in Feb so I’m now getting ready to start ttc again

@goldenretrieverenergy my little one is 19 months so close to yours, we stopped breastfeeding about 3 weeks ago 🥲 I still feel a bit sad about it

Hiya. I’m cycle day 9 and this is our first month trying for no2. DS is 3.5years now, we’ve put it off for so long because he’s had some health things going on. It just wasn’t possible to think about another. But we’re in a better place now and finally feel ready. I have no idea what to expect as we didn’t strictly ‘try’ with him. Just didn’t prevent it either. This is gonna be us actively trying, I’m nervous. I’m doing ovulation sticks and other than that, trying to not get hung up on all the other things that potentially sway your chances of falling quicker. Good luck to everyone!

Good to hear from others! My first happened pretty quickly but I was a bit younger and definitely a lot fitter..

My period only came back a couple of months ago as well so that’s still settling down.

Hoping to have a couple months ‘seeing how it goes’ but I suspect I’ll become less chill fairly quickly.

Yes me too! My DS is nearly 18 months. I've been taking prenatals for a few months. I've always had long cycles but they're a bit shorter now since my period came back post breastfeeding - between 30 and 42 days.
I'm on cycle day 11 now but we're avoiding this month due to possibility of a Christmas due date and starting next month - feeling excited! I won't be at all chill once we're actually trying

Mushroo · 26/03/2025 09:51

@Lgn90very similar! We also had a Xmas baby last time so were avoiding that again, so another reason to wait a couple of months.

Although my LO slept terribly last night which once again made me doubt these decisions!
