Hi everyone I'm looking for some advice please on below BBT chart. I'm approximately 8DPO, 3rd cycle charting and this is first time I've noticed more sustained high body temp but no implantation dip. Just looking to hear others experiences, I've had 3 early miscarriages before but never charted back then so nothing to compare to! TIA ❤️

BBT is useful for confirming ovulation but that’s about it really. High temps in the luteal phase are due to progesterone levels rising which occurs in both pregnancy and non pregnancy charts (as does the ‘dip’ which isn’t actually related to implantation and also is seen in both pregnancy and non pregnancy charts).

Not trying to discourage you but I have pinned my heart on so many promising looking charts only for AF to show her face anyway..

The good news is it definitely looks like you ovulated and there is every chance this could be your cycle for a BFP x

Thanks @Yellowdaff25 I dont tend to get my hopes up since 3 losses and no children, makss it harder to get any excitement for testing anyway. Was just looking to see patterns to get to know my patterns and if anyone has seen any links with their charts and pregnancies x

I have charted a long time, including four pregnancies. Apart from the sustained rise after ovulation, there are no similarities between my charts. I've only ever had two obvious mid luteal dips, and wasn't pregnant on either of those cycles. One of my pregnancy charts was an absolute mess in the luteal phase, up and down like a yo-yo, so I was sure I wasn't pregnant that cycle, but I was. You really can't tell much at all. There are certain features that are slightly more or less likely to appear on pregnancy charts, but nothing approaching a 'sign' that you're pregnant I'm afraid.

I am crossing my fingers for you that this is your month x

@Nooa that's interesting you didn't notice too many similarities/differences. I never tested bbt when trying to concieve last year, then read into it after 3rd miscarriage and everywhere seems to say there are patterns, then I feel I get more fixated on doing something to control how I am feeling. Will just have to wait it out until Friday!
