3dpo - anyone else?

Hi all 👋🏻

I'm currently 3dpo.. wondering if anyone else is roughly the same and doing the 2ww?! I haaaaate waiting. It feels like a punishment 🤣 just hoping for someone to go through this with!

11DPO for me, whitest of all BFN this morning and the start of period twinges (I'm due on anywhere 12-14dpo) so I'm almost officially counting myself out - always that little bit of hope until you see red, but realistically I think I'm done.

That means surgery is happening for me in a month, meaning at least one and possibly two cycles down the drain due to that (not sure I'll be quite up for TTC 5 days after surgery! Plus probably not sensible for recovery). Pretty gutted to be honest and unreasonably angry at the world today, but off for a long run so hoping that will help shake out all the feelings. I hope everyone else has better luck!

Also if anyone else has had a break mid TTC (forced or otherwise) - I'm not sure whether to keep tracking temp etc or not. On the one hand data is always useful if only to stop me being totally convinced that a headache on 8dpo is a new symptom (hint: it's not) buuut on the other hand I know roundabout when I ovulate so maybe I just sack it off for a bit and at least enjoy some freedom from that.

Anyone had a break and felt that what they did WRT tracking was good/would in retrospect do it differently?

I'm on CD13, no peak but can only test once a day when I'm home from work about 5pm during the week. Apps say ovulation was Weds, Thurs or Fri depending which app I looked at, but no (or very very very little EWCM) so no idea what's happening. My cycles are only 24-25 days though and I'm sure I've read about needing 10 days after ovulation for implantation so if it's much longer then I won't have that 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate I can't remember if this is your first month tracking, but in general the luteal phase stays fairly constant and if ovulation is later, your cycle will just be longer. E.g. if you have the "standard" (ha!) 14 day luteal phase, ovulating on CD14 = cycle length 28, if you ovulate later on CD20 then you're most likely going to have a 34 day cycle that time around.

If it's your first month tracking and you don't know your luteal phase then ignore all of that and I just hope you do have a reasonable length luteal to improve your chances 😊

@Pleasestopjumpingonthesofa We had a month off recently and carried on tracking symptoms as usual and started using opk’s. I did find it helpful as hopefully going forward I won’t mistake sore boobs etc as anything new. Although if you’re already used to when you usually ovulate and what signs you get at what time of the month, then it may not be so useful if that makes sense.
@Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate I’m cd 16 now and no peak yet although not used my opk yet today as my lines tend to be darker in the evening. My app was completely wrong too so don’t think you can pay it too much attention 🙈 Hopefully your cycle is a slightly longer one this month so would all be fine with the late ovulation 🤞

I finally got my peak last night too, was starting to think it was never coming 😂

I’m in the same boat, it’s rare that my cycle is longer than 26-27 days so at most I’m only going to have 8-9 days for implantation to happen. Let’s hope those little eggs get moving! 😂

Ours eggs have got this 💪🏻 our little super eggs!!! Might do another OPK and see if it's the same, less or more!

Ooh super eggs I like that 😂 I find my opks are darker in the evening so sometimes it’s worth doing another 😊

Well the DH has been told that the magic stick says we have to BD tonight and tomorrow (and maybe Tuesday if we have it in us 🤣). We did BD yesterday but that might have been too early to count.

Haha my hubby is sick of the sticks now. He’s more than happy to do the fun bit but not keen on a stick telling him when 😂

Hi, could I join please? TTC #1 and finding it so helpful reading threads like these, as it's so lonely otherwise isn't it! No one knows we are TTC so driving myself nuts googling things with no one to talk to about it😅

I'm CD16 today, think I got my peak today too so we are ovulation twins!

it is weirdly so satisfying once they start getting darker lol. I’m doing okay thanks, We’ve not got much planned for tomorrow yet but not mad about that to be honest. How about you? 😊

I'm feeling ok at the moment, only on cycle 1 of "properly" trying (last few months was sort of not trying but not preventing) so feel like I'm learning a lot lol! Trying not to get my hopes up too much as a few of my friends had to wait a good while for a bfp...but secretly still hopeful 🤣 how are you doing? 😊

A bit confused today as I had another positive OPK but lower than yesterday's, so apparently yesterday was my peak...not sure if that means ovulation will happen today or tomorrow, but at least it's near! I just want to get into the tww now😅

On another thread someone suggested that ovulation is today if peak was yesterday, although I've read 12-36 hours after peak, so my 24 hours would be about 9pm tonight. Hopefully will BD tonight but then probably won't tomorrow. At least we'll have done 3 nights in a row.

One cycle is all it takes! That's all it took to get pregnant with my #1 and with my CP! This time is taking longer for me!

@Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate oh we are very in sync - my 24 hours is 11pm tonight!! I ended up doing another one late last night and that was the peak😅 I think we will try and do the same and hope for the best 🤞...how exciting that we're all a similar dpo😊

So sorry to hear of your CP💐, but it's so positive to know that you've had baby #1 and have no problems with getting a BFP! Will be keeping my fingers and toes crossed for us all!

Wahhhh I'm confused now! It says the one I've just done is higher but doesn't look as dark to me. I'm never going to have the days I need after ovulation at this rate!

Ah that’s strange, could just be the lighting? I’ve had a couple that had different readings depending where I took the photo 🙈
