We do have two more booked for this year, just in the UK again! Have you got any booked? X

Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate · 21/04/2025 17:27

@peanutforever fingers crossed for you 🤞 is this your first cycle then) I really thought we had it well covered this month but obviously not haha!

Yes first cycle trying for no.2 have a DS who is 4! I have been pregnant 4 times which have ended in chemicals/mc (2 before DS and one after him) 2 accidental pregnancies and 2 intentional but they dont seem to stick! But all i guess were conceived on the first go (however now i am a lot older...so anticipating its gna take us a while) was originally gna wait till next cycle to try but got the go ahead from my dr to try this cycle as i was on mj and needed to time to clear it out before trying...weve dtd once but think i missed ovulation 🥲

CrazyKJ · 21/04/2025 18:21

@Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate We’ve got a week booked at Butlin’s in June but that’s all at the minute 😊

@peanutForever Sorry to hear about your cp/mc’s. You never know when you’ll be lucky though so fingers crossed!

Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate · 21/04/2025 19:39

@peanutforever my DS is also 4! It's a great age but my word does that boy talk! Im sorry about your CPs/MCs. I've had a CP since DS. Now 2 years on we are trying again. And same as you, both my previous pregnancies caught first cycle, yet now entering my third this time round! Once is all it takes though so you never know 🤞

Ah which one @CrazyKJ ? Trying to scope out other holiday locations in the UK to mix it up next year. We take the dog so I dont want to caravan but just after beautiful places we haven't seen before!

OP posts:
CrazyKJ · 21/04/2025 20:25

@Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate We’re going to Bognor Regis, we went around a year ago and my little one loved it 😊 not too sure they let you take dogs to Butlin’s though. Not sure where abouts you are but our fave uk places are Dorset or Cornwall both beautiful. Edinburgh and Yorkshire and were both amazing too last time I went but too X

Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate · 21/04/2025 21:15

We want a cottage anyway with the dog, plus we go with other family, just wanted to know if the area was nice with plenty to do! We are looking at Dorset. I think for now Cornwall is too far a drive.. that would need some convincing for DH to drive all that! Been to Edinburgh pre child and that was nice, and we've just got back from Yorkshire, and have booked again for October! That's our fave place!

Devon has been high up on the list of recommendations, as has Northumberland and Norfolk, so I've got some research to do! X

Hi
I am 3dpo nd I had a cm mixed with a tiny bit blood twice when I wiped. I have been having leg cramps nd generally feeling like AF is about to show, only that I am not due till 12 m days time. Anyone else had this experience?

Ugh same the leg pain is a dead give away for me for AF on its way and i currently have it unfortunately.
I'm about 5/6 days post ovulation even though I feel like I'm not ovulating some of my normal symptoms have disappeared. Also tested early to a BFN!
So try not to test early cos it's just driven me mad with disappointment.

CrazyKJ · 22/04/2025 14:54

@Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate Yeah I get what you mean now, there’s loads to do in and around Dorset. Lots of lovely walks if that’s your kind of thing 😊 I probably wouldn’t go to Bognor unless we’re going to Butlin’s tbh.

@Michelle292 Sorry to hear you’ve got your AF symptoms. I also find all the negatives really disheartening. Might be worth giving opks a try if you’re not sure if you’re ovulating X

peanutForever · 22/04/2025 15:09

I hate the TWW, im pretty sure i know im already out but why am i feeling twinges! Why is my body trying to gaslight itsslf ahaha

CrazyKJ · 23/04/2025 10:16

@peanutForever isnt it crazy what our bodies do!! We took a month off ttc recently and I barely had any twinges, sore boobs etc yet the previous months when we were I had just about every symptom going 🙈

peanutForever · 23/04/2025 15:10

@Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolatemy DS wont stop asking questions today and demanding a little brother

DH jokingly said i hope it takes us a while to fall pregnant so we can have fun trying, ive made my peace this cycle but the thought of it taking ages for us has disheartened me a lot!

Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate · 23/04/2025 18:33

Always how old is your son @peanutForever?

Fingers crossed it won't take you (us all) a while! The men just like the making, dont they! Me and my DH did it more last cycle than we have in ages 🤣

Hi all! 👋

How are we all doing?

Yesterday I did an OPK. As I was waiting for it to develop I clocked that the date said that it expired Feb 2024 🤣🙈 got some more arriving today but have started our monthly 'every other day BD' anyway!

The sun is shining ☀️ this is our month ✨️

OP posts:
Pleasestopjumpingonthesofa · 28/04/2025 11:33

I wasn't here before, but I'm in my TWW now - so a week or two ahead of you I'd think! I'm 6dpo (ish - I think I peaked overnight which makes it a bit hard to judge). Cycle 5 of trying for baby #1, had a chemical on cycle 3 unfortunately. If I don't get a positive this cycle we have to put it on hold for a couple of months as I need surgery so it's either BFP in about a week or surgery in just over a month! Bit of a mind fuck as I desperately want to get pregnant again but also could really do with having the surgery so some days it feels like a win-win and some days it feels like a lose-lose 😂

Funny about your expired OPKs. Most other things I'd think eh, probably will work. But this is all so specific date-wise that like you I'd definitely get some in date ones!

Pleasestopjumpingonthesofa · 28/04/2025 11:36

It's also difficult as we're not telling anyone we're trying (well. I let slip to one friend!) but my manager knows about the chemical as I had time off work due to it. I would usually have told him about the surgery date by now but I'm going to have to fudge it in my catch-up as I want to give him some notice it'll happen but if I give him the exact date and then it can't go ahead due to me being pregnant I don't want it to be really suspicious to him why it might have got cancelled!

Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate · 28/04/2025 12:09

Hi @Pleasestopjumpingonthesofa! Sorry to hear about your CP. I had one back in 2023 and I can still remember how gutted I was over it, despite really only just having found out I was pregnant! Well, maybe if it doesn't happen for you this month it's so that you can have the surgery, recover and then it be your time! But I hope whichever you want to happen does happen!

I've only told my two best friends at work that we are trying.

Dpo isn't bad!! When is AF due? When will you know if your surgery is going ahead?

OP posts:
Pleasestopjumpingonthesofa · 28/04/2025 12:13

@Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate (I want Easter eggs now!)

Thank you. I can't quite decide which I want more but realistically either is a good outcome so I'm trying to focus on that. Yes, I was devastated. It really surprised me quite how hard it hit me, but I think hormones are funny things on top of the natural grief. I'm sorry you've been through it too.

Due 5-7th ish of April - bit hard to tell as last month's was unusual following the chemical so I think the estimate on my app of the 7th is probably later than usual based on that.

My surgery is booked in! If I get pregnant I'll just have to cancel it until after I give birth, but it's booked for early June at the moment.

Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate · 28/04/2025 12:26

I know, I love Easter eggs.. currently working my way through my DSs extras that we didn't end up giving to him as he already had so many 🤣 they're white chocolate but they'll do!

Well at least you don't definitively have a preference. It won't be too disappointing either way (although I'm sure a little).

Ah still about a week to go then! The TWW is torture though isn't it! I hate waiting, I'm so impatient!

OP posts:
CrazyKJ · 28/04/2025 16:31

Hey 👋
@Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate Love the optimism!

@Pleasestopjumpingonthesofa
Sorry to hear about your chemical, hopefully you’ll know which way things are going soon. Not easy to plan things when you feel like you’re in limbo 🤞

My opk’s are showing that I apparently ovulate quite late considering my cycle isn’t hugely long. Been doing some looking into it, and apparently if your luteal phase is slightly short as mine seems to be it can cause issues with implantation 😔 the things you read about it are mixed but it’s given me something else to worry about. Although I’m trying to be positive as at least I know I’m ovulating later now, we may have been missing the window before. Just gonna do it a lot once my lines start darkening and hope for the best 😂

Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate · 28/04/2025 18:09

Feel like I need to be optimistic, manifest it and all that jazz!

At least your OPKs have been useful then! I did my first one earlier 🥳 feel like I've got a good few days before ovulation!

OP posts:
Pleasestopjumpingonthesofa · 28/04/2025 19:24

I found OPKs helpful, my ovulation was different to the assumption the apps made without it and we have to actively up our frequency during the fertile time so it's pretty vital for us to know when that is! My chemical was the month I started OPKs, impossible to say of course whether that increased my chances (did OPKs cycle after as well and nothing!) but I do feel it helped me after so long on the pill and not knowing my body's signs.

@CrazyKJ I believe things can be done for a short luteal phase (I don't know what though, sorry!) so might be worth chatting to your GP if it's something you can show them consistently happening for a few cycles via OPKs?

CrazyKJ · 28/04/2025 21:13

@Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate Yeah it’s definitely been helpful to see when things are actually happening. Wouldn’t have had any idea about any of it otherwise. I think I’ve still got a few days if this month follows the same pattern as last.

@Pleasestopjumpingonthesofa
Thanks that’s good to know if we’re still in the same situation in a few months.

🤞🤞🤞🤞 Everything crossed for it to be a lucky month all round!

CrazyKJ · 01/05/2025 18:55

How’s everyone doing?

Im on CD14 and no peak on opk yet, hope its soon as I’m getting impatient lol X
