3dpo - anyone else?

Hi all 👋🏻

I'm currently 3dpo.. wondering if anyone else is roughly the same and doing the 2ww?! I haaaaate waiting. It feels like a punishment 🤣 just hoping for someone to go through this with!

How far along are you now? I filled mine in on Saturday and they called today... whilst I was on a run with people from work who obviously dont know I'm pregnant yet 🙈 she was like "you sound out of breath...." 🤣

I’m 5 weeks now, think they aim to do them around 8 weeks here. I’m not overly worried since there’s still time, but don’t want it to be too last minute incase I need to arrange childcare. That’s typical lol 😂 I will need to tell work soon because of the job I do, but am hoping to hold off for a few more weeks so hoping a phone call doesn’t out me lol. Have you told any family or friends yet? X

I was expecting to be 8 weeks as that's how it was with my first, but she said if she can get me booked in for that at 6 weeks I can have a scan sooner! Which I'm not complaining at. I think I'm going to book more private scans this time round as this is more than likely to be my last baby, want to enjoy it fully.

Haven't told any family, so I'll have to go alone to my booking in appt as DH will be business as usual looking after DS. Have told my two best friends. I work with them but trust them not to say anything! Have you? X

We’ve told one friend but that’s it for now. We didn’t tell family til the 12 week scan last time and would like to do the same again. I have been thinking about private scans, we didn’t have extras with our son, so almost feel a bit guilty about doing it this time round 🙈

I think we told family probably around 8-10 weeks, but i could be lying 🫣 I told my closest friends almost immediately! I think i will tell my boss and HR tomorrow as they will need to approve my absence for my booking appt.

Ahh did you not? I loved them! We had a gender one at 16 weeks, which we will definitely do again, and had a couple more closer to the time as I had a fair bit of reduced movements! I loved them so cant wait to do them again and take our DS with x

Yeah I used to find medical appointments really difficult so didn’t want to do any more than were necessary. I would step in the hospital and feel so anxious, my heart rate would go crazy, to the point I was nearly admitted at one point 🙈. I’m loads better now though. I do like the thought of seeing baby more this time and that’s a lovely idea taking DS 😊

My anxiety is much better now than it was back then. Although I am nervous, I’m actually looking forward to the scans this time round. I think knowing what to expect helps 😊

Just checking in to log the data as I know what it's like when you're Googling the hell out of stuff like this 😅
Its now 12 dpo (bearing in mind Im just using Clue for this). Period due the day after tomorrow.
Got that fiery, heavy pressure going on still even stronger than yesterday but this is classic PMS sign for me. Still no sign of tender boobs at all which is unusual for me. Woke up feeling starving despite eating loads last night, very unusual for me.
It definitely feels like my period is about to drop, just the lack of tender boobs is weird, that's normally a dead giveaway and happens about 3 days before for me.
My period runs like clockwork so should definitely be here on Thursday, the way Im feeling I wouldn't be surprised if it actually came tomorrow though.

@Chocolateeggsarebetterthannormalchocolate I predicted right, midwife called to sort out the booking appointment while I was at work today lol.

Aw no @CrazyKJwere you able to sort it without giving it away? I told my boss and HR yesterday, just because they'd have seen it when I submit for time off for the appt anyway!

Yeah I don’t think it sounded too suspicious lol, she didn’t ask too many questions so could have been any appointment if you only heard my end. I did end up telling my manager yesterday anyway. I had to step away from a conversation with her to throw up 🙈 How are you feeling? X

Good haha I had cramping yesterday so I'm on high alert now.. test still strong this morning though. Did you get sickness with your first? I didn't, a bit of nausea but that's it! X

I’ve had cramps/twinges on/off the whole time so 🤞🤞 it’s just everything stretching. I read something online that said you’re more likely to have more aches etc in subsequent pregs. Apparently nothing is as tight as first time so things aren’t supported the same if that makes sense. Yeah it was horrendous the first time, I was over a stone lighter post preg. It feels manageable at the minute and I’m still eating okay, so hoping this is a bad as it gets this time 🤞

Ah that makes me feel a little better then! I did test again this morning though to reassure me 🙈 crikey I was so much heavier after, just finally got round to doing something about it 🤣 x

No harm in the testing if it makes you feel more relaxed 😊 I’ve put it all back on and more now 🙈 every time I’ve started to stick at exercising I end up breaking myself, swear I got to 30 and started fall apart lol X

Today was supposed to be period day - no period.
I took a cheap test and it was a negative!

Maybe just a day or two late? What test did you use?

Still no period and another negative this morning. I just got a two pack of the cheap as chips ones. I think I'll wait another few days now

Waiting a few days seems sensible. I’ve had loads of weirdly long cycles without being preg, so could just be that.

What's unusual is two days before my period was due, I felt a sudden small tug. It didn't hurt or anything, it was really brief but it was like a tiny pulling or fluttering sensation. I went to the bathroom and saw a tiny amount of brown discharge.

The eagle has landed! I got my period, must just have been stressed.
