Ovulation strips confusion

Hi,

We’ve recently started trying and after first month of just Flo app we started using the ovulation strips. I was lead to believe that once the second line goes darker I’m ovulation and the ideal day to try but now I’m seeing that 2 days before is the perfect day? If so what’s the purpose of the ovulation strips as then it’s too late in most cases

Once you get a positive test (line darker or as dark as the test strip) generally you will ovulate 24 - 36 hours after that :)

You ovulate anything from about 12-36 hours after you get a peak result on your ovulation tests. It's best to try in the lead up to ovulation, the day of and even the day after if you can. Some choose to do every other day in the lead up. Most women will ovulate at the same time each month, so I used them to gauge when I ovulate in general rather than use them every single month. Because yes you're right it's possible you've missed some valuable days by waiting until you catch your peak. Hope that makes sense😊

As the previous poster said, best to DTD leading up to the positive ovulation test in your fertile window including day of ovulation and day after for good measure! Sperm can live up to 5 days x

I wouldn’t fully trust what Flo is telling you. I’d start testing as soon as your period finishes. I found that Flo was way out. We had sex the day after period and then every other day until I got a peak. We then had sex 2 nights in the run and then another a day after for good measure 😂. We got pregnant that time but unfortunately ended in MMC for us.
