So you still don't know what has been going on for the last few weeks, but if you are happy to write it off as a blip cycle, then all's well. It is a shame you don't have a supportive GP that you could go and talk this through with but I understand your position on that.

Not sure what has gone on, had loads of clots last night, the size of say 20p pieces, and the blood is really weird too, really pinky, and slimey, so definately an odd one

I'm sure I heard somewhere that annovulatory cycles can end with a horrid and heavy period , and that might explain extended cycle too...
