Can a test show a false positive if you didn't manage to aim your wee just at the end and got it all over the entire test??!

I don;t think you;d get a false +ve from too much wee . So I'd say you were pg...

you can have a dating scan if you're not certain of your dates

NO idea when my last period was so I only have a rough idea when this one is due

iwouldgoouttonight · 12/05/2008 11:58

I did a test on Friday and it was negative and now this one is positive, so I'm guessing I'm only just pregnant.

...and another test - pee in a glass this time - i've given up trying to POAS I always miss. it's straight in a pint glass/jug - then if I want to test again with FMU I still have it (sorry if TMI).

I can't quite believe this. I posted the other day about having PCOS and not having periods for ages - had coil out about six weeks ago - haven't had a period since. How can this be?? I thought it would take months!

Just phoned doctor - they can't fit me in today. I'm just all of a tiss!

surely no one would design a pregnancy test that required such accurate weeing

cardy · 12/05/2008 12:02

do another test later

iwouldgoouttonight · 12/05/2008 12:02

It did say in the instructions to make sure you don't get wee on the rest of the stick, although it does look quite watertight to me.

my friend a nurse told me there is no such thing as a false postive. The only thing that can make that second line is the hcg hormone and thats only caused by pregnancy

good luck
