Chemical pregnancy?

Hey all 👋🏼

So I had a chemical pregnancy last October where I tested positive on 10 dpo but unfortunately my tests did not progress much and I started bleeding around 5 weeks… After the first day of bleeding I took a pregnancy test which was negative as expected 💔 Fast forward to now, I got a faint positive on 12 dpo (Last Thursday) and also a faint positive on Friday morning but then started bleeding Friday evening and have had what I presume is my normal period… I have stopped bleeding now so have had a 4 day period (I’m usually on for 4/5 days) but I am still showing faint positives on tests? Is this normal, will it be the case for a while? I think I am just freaking out as I also had a ruptured ectopic last January and lost my right tube so I am panicking as to why I am still getting faint lines 😮‍💨 I will post a photo... The purple top test was yesterday morning and the blue top test was this morning… if anything it looks a bit darker 🤯 The test from this morning was a standard 25mIU according to the box ✨

Hi, sorry you are going through this. This happened to me just over a year ago. I kept getting told the pregnancy was ectopic as they couldn't find it on a scan but my HCG continued rising after a two day bleed. Finally on the 3rd scan they found an empty sack where I hadn't passed the pregnancy. I stopped trying for a while then I've just fallen pregnant again the first month of trying but unfortunately it's another chemical pregnancy. I'm having my HCG tested tomorrow. It had already gone down to 7.7 so I'm hoping the same doesn't happen again as it was dragged out over 7 weeks last time.

Hey 👋🏼

I am so sorry for your losses too, life's so unfair 😔 It's the waiting and in between bit which is killer... I am praying yours sorts itself out and you fall again quickly with your rainbow 🌈

Thank you for sharing... I honestly don't know what's going on with mine.... did you test positive after for a while and it get stronger? I just tested again after a 2 hour hold and it looks darker again ☹️ Panicking as I now only have the one tube so would be awful if it was another ectopic 😭💔

My tests have always been darker on an evening. I did the same test as you have on Monday and my lines were fainter and that's when I was getting 1-2 weeks on a clear blue digital. When I got referred to the EPU my hcg was only at 21. I got prepared to be given methotrexate three times but then the consultants would say no. It was a horrible experience as I was then given medication to pass the pregnancy but that failed twice but luckily it passed naturally the day before I was due to have a d&c. I would maybe ask for a scan and have your bloods done to see what's happening with your hcg. I've still had positive tests today and yesterday. The lines are faint but I didn't think they would show with such low levels of hcg. I hope it all works out for you. I'm lucky that I already have 4 children but I desperately want one more but I didn't realise how difficult this can be when you have a loss.
