anembryonic pregnancy question

This time last year I found out I was pregnant which unfortunately at 10 wks was told it was a anembryonic pregnancy I had to have a d&c to remove it and it was sent of to be analysed for the consultant to say there was no abnormalities which was a positive which means if I was to get pregnant again I shouldn't have the same problem.
I'm now 38 and 2 days ago did a test and got a bfp, which I'm over the moon about as my partner said this was the last month of trying before he gets the snip. What I'm so worried about now is the same thing happening again!! I've googled so much in the past 48 hours and it does say it's very low chance of it happening again. I suppose what I want to know is there anyone out there who's had the same and then gone on to conceive and everything be ok? Xxx

Hi OP, I had the same last year in July and I am now 9 weeks pregnant with a healthy little jelly bean growing. I was like you very paranoid and anxious, all I can advise is either call your EPU around 7 weeks and see if they will give you an early scan (my epu did tell me if I got pregnant again to come back to rule out the same) or get one privately. Hope it all works out x

Thank you so much for your reply, yes my consultant from last year said info was to get pregnant again then I will be direct under them and they will scan me at 6 wks so I'm booked in for week after next. It's just a waiting game, do you mind if I ask how old you are? Xx

Yeah I'm 38 and they say more risk for over 35's so that's why I'm worried. Yeah I was scanned at 5 weeks to start with last year as we thought I was further on, but they want to check it's all in the right place so I've asked towards more to 7 weeks. I just want this to fly by lol, congratulations to you though your aweek ahead of me xx
