Slightly elevated LH after ovulation

Hello all, I’m looking for any information that can be shared on my current TTC cycle.

I have a 2 year old already, and have been TTC since September 2024. I had a chemical pregnancy last cycle, and ovulated again very swiftly afterwards. I’m using premom LH strips and got a blazing positive, in other cycles including my chemical the LH dropped off a cliff within a day or so of the peak. This month it is remaining slightly elevated, ranging from 0.25 to 0.35, this is out of character in comparison to my other cycles. I’m currently 4DPO.

i have scanned what feels like the entirety of the internet for information on what slightly elevated LH levels following ovulation might mean, and i can’t find a single thing.

Has anyone experienced this before and can share stories whether good or bad? I find tracking my LH daily mentally draining, so i had planned to stop testing once i had confirmed the return to baseline (which in other cycles has been as low as 0.05) however i feel like i can’t stop yet as it’s remaining in a slightly elevated place.

Please help me before i lose my mind :)

Could you start checking your temperature to see if you've actually ovulated rather than just looking at LH surge? It might be easier

I have thought this too, i feel like it’s too late for me to start doing that now as i have no clue what would be an increase or decrease for me at this point. Praying this is my cycle, but if not i will for sure start temping!

When you say you ovulated very quickly after your chemical, how quickly? Could it have been that the LH strips were actually detecting HCG from your pregnancy which decreases much more slowly?

11 days after - i would say this was quick but maybe it isn’t, i read online that it can sometimes take over a month to ovulate again following a chemical

Oh ok, that sounds normal to me and matches my experience. Are you drinking less than normal? Maybe you're just a bit more dehydrated so getting stronger results. It's still low LH though so you can say you've peaked, even if it's higher than it previously has been for you

Hey I’m a couple days behind you, sending baby dust x

Here to say my LH is up and down this month and no idea why! Have you still been testing your LH?

Here's my tests 😩

Congrats @Wishbone2023 , I have just found this thread as I am currently experiencing the same thing myself atm with LH remaining elevated after a supposed ‘peak’.
So glad it turned out well for you, all the best ✨x
