CD 45 faint positive

Hello, I will seek medical advice, but I need any thoughts if you have any.

BC failed a few weeks ago so I took the morning after pill. I usually have long cycles and always have since major surgery in my early 20s, but I'm now on cd 45. I put this down to the MAP, but I have been extremely emotional and that isn't something that I have with pms. So I took a strip test and it has a very faint line and came up while I was still on the loo, so well within the limit. However, I feel a faint line this far into a cycle/missed period would be concerning? Last night I had bad pain in the lower left, like a twisting pain. I've felt fine since but this morning had a dot of brown spotting, so I'm wondering if it may be ecoptic, if this is an actual positive and it's just not picking up well on the test, in which case I'll do another in an hour and then first thing tomorrow.

I'll try to call the GP if they are positive (if I can get in the phone queue), but any thoughts welcome on the positive being faint this far in cycle?

Attached is picture. The colour is all the way through, but I don't know how to turn the lightning down to get a clearer picture.

I think that's positive, but I'd do another as it doesn't go clearly all the way across as it should be more even. Hope you're ok x

Thank you. It's a poor picture, but it does go across and colour. However, I did a second an hour later and it's negative. I googled the brand and despite how it came up within a minute, I am not sure it's a positive as people online said they got false negatives. I'll try another in the morning, especially if it's well into my cycle/missed period,it should be easier to detect? I ordered another brand for tomorrow and if in doubt I'll get some advice.

False negatives are common on any brand if you test too early, false positives are very rare. Evaporation lines happen but usually outside of the time and without colour. Dehydrate yourself and then retest 😂 x

*false positive lol. I have no brain cells to spare today after looking for everything online about it. I will try to keep it until tomorrow morning.
Thanks for the comments. I don't have anyone irl to talk to at the moment and good old Internet is not always bad.

Thank you for the replies. I took another and it was faint but multiple others were negative. I was have no idea why the first came up within the window of checking. I have light pink blood when I wipe today and cramping, so I'm assuming my period is just really late and it'll be full on in the next few days. The other tests didn't arrive, but I'll nip to get some tomorrow just to make sure. I wish everyone luck who are trying and thanks again for the replies, I had no one available to talk to last night.

I think this was probably a chemical pregnancy 😢 and levels are now dropping hence the negative tests and start of your period. Hope next month is your month! X
