Early MC?

lo, I am new to this, so apologies if I unintentionally get things wrong.
Could anyone help me interpret what happened last month please? We BD'd twice around day 11 of a 28-29 day cycle, with EWCM, and all went well until day 23, when I had v light spotting. On day 24 I felt awful: headache, nausea, cramps, which continued for 48 hours. Also, from day 24 to 29 had heavy bleed (while my periods are normally light and only 3 days). I assume it was a v early MC. Any thoughts?
On day 23 I got quite cold, danced a lot and drunk more than I have ever done in the last 10 years or so (which means 2.5 glasses of champagne and some whisky, probably a single measure- over about 6 hours-but usually a glass of champagne is enought to make me feel tipsy). Could this have caused what I think was an early MC?
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

It may have been an early miscarriage, or just an out-of-character cycle. Perhaps annovulatory (didn't ovulate) or stress/health-related. Sometimes, when we are trying to get pregnant, we are just far more tuned into what our bodies are up to.

It is extremely unlikely that anything you did caused, or would cause, a miscarriage. Miscarriages occur for many, many unexplained reasons - and I would bet my ass on that amount of alcohol (very small IMO) and dancing not being on the shortlist.

I'm sorry you have this worry, but you need to put away the guilt. Good luck if you are trying to concieve.

Thank you very much- this is helpful. it's one of those cases where at the back of my mind I know if an early MC, then it is probably for the best, but on the other hand I did/do feel quite guilty about the drinking- especially as I am normally quite good about living healthily etc.
Had not thought of anovulatory cycle- will research.
