Help! CD 36, bfn and mid-cycle bleed

Just posting to see if anyone is in a similar situation atm. This month, CD 16 I had an unusual mid-cycle bleed, it lasted a day and was a brownish discharge when wiping. I thought possibly ovulation however I am now on CD 36 with no sign of AF! I say no signs, I have had the occasional quite severe cramping for days as if im about to start, but nothing! Lower back ache, dizziness. Tested last night and bfn. Should I have tested morning? Thank you

28 days normally, last month was 27 x

Brownish discharge is old blood so it was probably old blood from your last period that finally came out. You probably ovulated really late or you haven't ovulated yet and that's why your period is late. You would've had a strong positive test by now if you ovulated on the usual day.

Ah ok thank you, I asumed the bleed was ovulation felt sharp twinge with it x thanks for your reply, I will await af 😂
