Could this be a false positive?

Feeling extremely tired (bone tired) so randomly dug a test out as am on day 29 of cycle. This is the only test I have in the house. Did a bit a slap dash pee on the end before a work meeting so you can see a little bit of bleeding between the lines. I'm going to have to go out and get another, aren't I? Are false positives possible? I'm 38, stupidly thought my fertility was probably on the wane (have 2 young DC).

Looks positive to me! But yes go out and buy some more and test in the morning. You should have a darker line.

There’s so much dye bleed on that it could have tracked up the test indent and given a false positive. You need to retest I’m afraid. Collect a sample and dip the test in though to be sure.

I ran to Boots for another pack as couldn't wait. Wasn't expecting that. 😬

It still looks pretty pink to me, there is a pink splodge to the right of the Max line and the white strip no longer looks white. The test line seems to be missing it’s ends too.

Do you mean the second test? I dipped that one, albeit in not much urine as only an hour after the first. I bought a pack so will try another first thing.

Surely I can't have messed up two tests and got two false positives?! Ha, it's hardly rocket science. Maybe I am just tired!

I'd say that's positive! I imagine it's just not fully dry yet hence it looking a little pink still. Congratulations!!

I think they're both positive. Also you're on day 29 but that doesn't necessarily mean they should be darker. You might not even be late yet. Even a faint line is a positive line.

How do you feel about it?

Very shocked but a third has always been in the back of my mind. I have had 2 miscarriages between children though so I'll probably try to ignore it for a while.... I would be sad if I miscarried though so I suppose that says it all.

Also wondering if faint line could be chemical? But I have no experience of that.

Those tests are really reliable 😊 Try another test in 48 hours and hopefully the line is darker
