5 days late but bfn

I'm so confused.

I tested 4 days ago, a day after my missed period, bfn. Period still hasn't come.

My periods are usually very regular although I had Covid in January which I wonder might have been a factor to the delay?

Anyone else been in this position?

Hi @user263758918 this happened to me before, unfortunately in my case my period just decided to show up 5 days late and I'm normally like clockwork. It could well be that you had Covid, that can certainly affect your cycle, it may mean you ovulated a lot later than normal which could mean it's still early to test. Hope you get the outcome you want 🩷

Period came about half an hour ago.

Feeling a bit sad even though we are not actively ttc at the moment (planning on later this year). It would have been a nice surprise.

This happened to me in late summer too. We had just started TTC and I was also super regular so I was convinced I must be pregnant, but my period came a week late. I don’t know why. It’s so disappointing I know. But my cycle returned to normal afterwards and I conceived two months later and we’re expecting our baby in the summer, so don’t despair!
