Hi everyone
moving over to March now as AF has arrived today. That means my last cycle was 26 days. My cycles haven’t been the same since being on the depo injection. I’ve had 33, 28, 31, 29, 21 lol. As long as I ovulate then I’m happy.

Is temperature the only way to know if you have actually ovulated?

@SquadGoalz OpKs don't confirm ovulation only bbt or blood test will do that. Potentially 12-36 hrs after your first peak can be a rough guide.

@BerrieSweet I'm no expert but from what I have learnt from all my spotting - don't use a tampon, blood is suppose to flow and it doesn't help your microbiome balance.

could be progesterone 🤷🏻‍♀️ if you go to your GP and ask for a progesterone blood test next month that might help - they are generally a bit useless but I found mine more responsive when I asked for specific things (maybe she just wanted to get rid of me 🤷🏻‍♀️ but it worked).
Find yourself a holistic fertility specialist, they can generally do acupuncture which can lengthen the luteal phase, but most will be detectives if you tell them about your cycle and changes etc.
also I started taking b6 for spotting and since I have I haven't had so much.

Thank you for input!!❤️🩷

You can ask for the following from you GP:
Progesterone
Oestadiol
Prolactin
LH/FSH
Fully blood count
Ferritin
Renal profile
(All pretty much done at the same time)
They might do a semen analysis too.

Mine said the NhS won't test thyroid but it might be worth doing this privately.
I would get a vaginal microbiome test privately, somewhere like screenMe.

I would try and get some holistic help for a few months before much else.
The Gp will then only refer you if you qualify, but will
Probably be a long waiting list.

Follow some fertility experts on insta, lots talk about diet, nutrition, what cycle symptoms mean etc which can all give you knowledge and power over your cycle.

Hi,
PMS and pregnancy symptoms are generally the same during the tww, all down to progesterone. Sucks as you can't help but symptom spot but I know it is pointless! Very frustrating

Thank you 🙏😘

MayaB · 05/03/2025 12:13

Just adding to Carolinep3's helpful comment. I tested all the hormons she mentioned (plus some others) privately with Medichecks and it was something around £130 all together with the doctors comments. I got the results in 48 hrs. Just wanted to put this out there in case the GP isn't cooperative 😊

Do you think the GP would agree to test my husbands sperm count? And dpes anyone know how long this will take? Thank you girls.

The fertility coach
Alex_explaining infertility
The Cheshire acupuncturist

I've just had my vaginal microbiome tests back, only took less than 3 weeks and company states 3-5 weeks so I'm impressed.
But I can't read or understand any of them 😢😭😭😭
I can book a consultation but not for 3 weeks 😡
Here's hoping my fertility expert emails
Me back and can read them!! I need answers!

Hi @Mismatc I didn't breastfeed so I can't advise on working that around trying to TTC. Hopefully someone else with some wisdom comes along!

Oh fingers crossed you don't @confusedmum25 🤞🏻

Miffy1994 · 05/03/2025 18:53

Thanks for your replies @BerrieSweet @AlbatrossSociety @SureLook @Matildahoney ❤️
Friend told me over WhatsApp with a picture of her 12 week scan so I think it just made it all very real very suddenly. DH is normally good to talk to but he’s completely exasperated at the moment with my emotions over TTC so I can’t really talk to him about it which also hurts a bit. I think that you’re right, I’ll just sit with these feelings for now, acknowledge them and the complicated-ness of emotions with ttc! ❤️

confusedmum25 · 05/03/2025 19:46

10dpo today and have a ‘heavy’ feeling as if im just about to come on, cant remember if I felt this with dc1

BerrieSweet · 06/03/2025 07:48

6 DPO: Spotting
7 DPO: Heavier than spotting, but very short
8 DPO: Spotting
9 DPO: Spotting

My temp rised today from 36,6 to 37,0.
36,6 is still higher than before ovulation so the rise is very interesting.

The clearblue ultraearly is still negative this morning. I'm so confused atm 🥲

spotting is hopefully implantation which means it’s too early to test!
are you 9dpo today?
give it another 48hours for the levels to rise and then test again🤞🏻

BerrieSweet · 06/03/2025 08:23

@Lavenderrose92 Yes, 9 DPO today and so far only itty-bitty spotting this morning so it feels like it's coming to an end. Thank you for your input, it sounds like a plan! I will test again Saturday morning 🤞🏼💕

MayaB · 06/03/2025 10:24

@ SquadGoalz
thank you lovely 😍 Now I just have to persuade hubby to go and do it. He keeps putting it off😫My tests came back perfect but we have been trying for just over a year now and we are not very young, so time is of essence.

carolinep3 · 06/03/2025 10:42

@BerrieSweet I think it sounds like too long to be implantation. But of course always hope until cd1!
When I talked to a fertility expert about spotting and explaining I had spotting around implantation time which then slowed down and stopped, had 2 days ish of nothing then af, she said this sounded like failed implantation, like my body was trying to implant but it had failed. (Due to poor uterine lining potentially).
Whereas obviously very disappointing, at least of give you some insight to the fact the egg has likely been fertilised, which is one massive hurdle, it is just implantation which is having a harder time.

confusedmum25 · 06/03/2025 10:43

Sorry im a bit if a poas addict

Has anyone treated thrush whilst ttc?
I'm reading that clotrimazole is fine? Which canesten too, but in the box it says don't take if trying to conceive? NHS website says clotrimazole is fine though?
Confused

This is looking great for 11dpo. I can definitely see the 2nd line! 🤗😍👏

SureLook · 06/03/2025 11:37

@BerrieSweet is it a Clear Blue digital you're using? I wouldn't use the blue dye ones. They're useless!

@confusedmum25 I wouldn't use those Boots digital ones. They're also useless. Two tests showed negative for me while strip tests were blazing BFP. The reviews online are brutal, including one from me 😂 they shouldn't be sold anymore.

MayaB · 06/03/2025 12:40

Big fat negative pregnancy test for me again 😥 I am a couple of days before my period due date and the test is early detection one so it must be right.

Sending hugs and baby dust to everyone 💞

I use clearblue dye ones 🥹 thanks I will try another one when I test on Saturday 🙏🏼

carolinep3 · 06/03/2025 13:29

I think I've tried every brand ever made over the years 😂 🙈 hate clueblue
Pink dye are definitely the best, and most accurate. They are on sale on Amazon at the moment actually, I just got two for about £9 I believe.

Confused

I has thrush last month (for the first time in years!) and ended up doing a lot of research to figure out what to do.
It affects the micro biome and therefore conception so no 1 priority is to get rid of it! The medications can also affect CM ph so it does throw ttc off a bit. I used the clomitrazole cream and pessary but didn’t find that they entirely got rid of it so also ordered some Florgynelle cream which is a probiotic cream with strains of bacteria know to kill it off. First time I’d used it but it cleared it all up in one and half days! I’m also now taking these probiotic suppliments to keep it at bay: bettervits.co.uk/products/intimate-probiotic

Miffy1994 · 06/03/2025 14:01

Forgot to add @carolinep3 - research seems to suggest it’s cleared up quickest if you do both clomitrazole and probiotics. Hope that helps!

That's @Miffy1994
I've been taking pro biotics for months, but might order some of these to use after I've finished my current ones.
I've had a vaginal
Microbiome which showed it, I have a consultation with the company hopefully soon and I've made an appointment with a doctor who specialises in microbiome, so will see what they advise. Then order the cream you suggested too. Thanks
