Trying to get pregnant with PCOS, irregular periods and no ovulation

hi,

I was diagnosed with PCOS around 2 years ago. I struggle with very irregular periods.

currently I haven’t had a period since November. I also haven’t had any signs of ovulation since then either such as pain, sore boobs which I normally experience around ovulation. I began tracking my ovulation through bbt and lh tests in January to see if I could get a better idea of my cycle but I have had no positive lH tests and bbt has been pretty much the same varying only slightly with no significant peak.

im wanting to get an appointment with my go to discuss and see if there is anything that can be done to help but im unsure if they will want me to wait longer as I’ve heard something about having to wait till you’ve been trying for a year to be able to get any help. But unsure if that is the same with the underlying diagnosis of PCOS.

Im also overweight at the moment due to the implant causing me to gain weight so im also worried that they may just tell me to lose weight and come back when I have.

i have been off all hormonal birth control since my diagnosis so it has been quite a while for that all to get out of my system so I don’t think that is causing the issues.

Hi - I didn't have exactly your situation but I had cycles of up to 54 days and managed to conceive ok!
Definitely worth going to GP - sounds like clomid could really help in your situation (and you can always say you have been trying for longer than you have ;) I think it depends on how old you are too - if you're over 35, they can refer you after trying for 6 months. Going private is always an option too if you want to skip the waiting lists.
Good luck!
