NAFLD and TTC

Hi ladies,

I’ve had some tests done due to pelvic pain and a few other things. Been ttc#2 for 10 months having taken 1 cycle with my DD. I’ve found out that I have NAFLD which has been a bit of a shock. I am overweight (BMI 28) but not so overweight that I’d expect a fatty liver. I’m now on a diet and exercise plan to see how quickly I can turn it around but still planned to keep trying for another. Started reading tonight about complications etc and now wondering if it’s completely irresponsible to ttc and whether I need to be happy with what I’ve got. My DD is a delight but constantly talks about her friends having siblings and why she doesn’t and growing up lonely.

I’m basically rambling but if anyone has any experience or advice I’d appreciate it. 😞

Fatty liver doesn’t necessarily progress especially if you do something about the extra weight . Out of interest how did it get picked up was it routine bloods or have you got symptoms of liver disease ? It’s definitely not something that would stop me having children or indeed getting on with whatever I wanted to do with my life .

Thanks for your reply. That’s reassuring.
I had to go for a CT scan to rule out problems with my kidneys. Haven’t had any symptoms but the CT report says it’s severe.

If you haven’t done so already get all your liver bloods done including a FIB score .

Thanks. Yeah I’ve had liver bloods which were all fine.
