Help... too early? Or other issue

Hey All,

My periods are like clockwork, always a 26-27 day cycle without fail (I use the Flo app). I always know it's coming too with the usual cramps a few days before. Never any issues.

I am currently 3 days late - cycle day 30

I had the cramping leading up to my due date (lasting abit longer than usual) but no period. 2 days ago when I went to the toilet and wiped, there was the tiniest amount of light pink blood on the tissue only - I assumed my period was on its way! But not a thing after at all! My pains stopped too.

I did a cheap test the day before I was due and also this morning - both of which were negative.

Could it be too early or is it likely to be a different issue?

Currently my belly just feels tight and I have back ache - not my usual symptoms.

We have had unprotected sex on multiple occasions throughout my cycle.

The only way you’ll know is if you test in a couple of days / if AF still doesn’t show up.

What tests are you using? Different brands have different sensitivity levels. Use a brand with 10miul, you might see better results.

I didn’t test until 10DPO and I’m certain had I tested at 9 it would have been a strong positive to!

Most people get a positive by the time their period is late. So I wouldn’t say it’s too early no. Some people it takes a bit longer for HCG to show up enough for a test. I’d just wait a few days and test again. Do you test for ovulation or are you just going by your average cycle?

Have you started taking any multi vitamins? They can also mess up and delay some women’s cycles.

I used just the normal boots ones, I will look for a more sensitive one if still not got AF tomorrow!

No multivitamins (I didn't know that was a thing though - interesting) and I have no idea about ovulation dates, bar what the app Flo estimates.

Same thing again this afternoon, wipe and some pale faint blood and then nothing else.
