TTC and PCOS - supplement recommendations

Hi, I am currently TTC baby number 2. I suspect I have PCOS - currently waiting on an ultrasound, bloods came back 'normal' but I have a lot of symptoms. Currently on CD 63 and feeling really down about it... I've never had a cycle this long before, they have been around 34 days ish. What's strange is my cycle just seems to have gone a bit haywire since Jan last year, before that my periods were regular. I have a 3 year old daughter.

I am currently taking Zita West Vitafem and their inositol and folate supplement and have also started taking agnus castus about 2 weeks ago. Are there any other supplements that could help? I'm considering ashwaganda? I've also started trying to lose some weight in the hope that helps too, my BMI is about 31 so I have a couple of stone to lose. I'm 33 and we've been TTC since May last year - fell pregnant first cycle but ended in chemical pregnancy then nothing since. I don't think I'm ovulating now.

Any advice appreciated x

I was diagnosed with PCOS. Had two kids naturally. I followed the book natural solutions to PCOS. Didn't do any supplements just multivitamins and B12. I followed a low GI diet and lived in the gym but was for my wedding and then unexpectedly got pregnant with my first. For my second baby I wasn't trying just happened 4 months after I had my first baby.

I think there are a lot of money making products to help with PCOS which are just to make profit. Read the book I read as that recommends things.

Good luck, stay positive. Any questions just ask as I was so overwhelmed when I was diagnosed thinking I couldn't get pregnant.

Thank you for replying, I'm just feeling frustrated at the minute as I just want my period to come - I'm hoping to get some more answers after having the scan. Yes low GI, I've heard about that helping PCOS I need to have a good look into it and I will get the book that you mentioned 😊

Inositol worked wonders. I just bought a huge bag from MyProtein, so didn't spend a fortune.

Other than that Vit D, folic acid and exercise. I got into really good shape and ran 3x a week, plus weight training and yoga. I think it put me in a really good place for pregnancy as well.

Thank you both, I am definitely going to start getting back into exercise this coming week. I've been taking inositol for a few months now. Hopefully these supplements start to take effect soon 🤷‍♀️.

I've ended up booking a private consultation with a gynaecologist in 2 weeks time so will see how that goes 🤞 x
