Bad cramping 4 weeks pregnant

Hi girls
I found out I was pregnant last week and I have been cramping on and off since. Today I am 4 weeks 5 days pregnant and since last night the cramping has been really painful and intense. I thought this morning it would calm down but it's still awful.

It's too early for the doctors to do anything so I just wanted to see if anyone had experience the same?

I do also have advanced endometriosis and I had a laparoscopy end of October to help with fertility (and luckily I got pregnant after this)

I'm just finding this really overwhelming and hard. I've not had any spotting or blood, but every time I go to the toilet I'm worried it will be there.

Any advice would be amazing thank you :)

@Irishgal1987 Oh, will the NHS inform you if baby will be a boy or girl? Or will you have to go private?

Congratulations!! I had a surprise pregnancy after being told I was infertile. I had implantation pain and bleeding plus cramps 4 weeks later and again 4 weeks after that. I had a beautiful healthy baby. My sister was the same. Fingers crossed for you.

@AudreyJL it would be great to be able to reuse what you have. I don’t have any recommendations sorry, I’m not getting a double buggy as my wee girl absolutely hated the buggy from the start so hoping to use my old one and get that wee attachment were she can stand on it.
They usually ask if you want to know at the 20 week scan, will you find out?

@Irishgal1987 my wee girl hated her buggy too and then she turned 2 and it became her best friend 😂 we walk a lot so I still use a buggy for her for when she’s tired. We got ours as a hand me down from a friend. It was used then and it’s beyond used now 😂😂 so thinking of getting a new 2-in-1 carrycot and toddler seat pushchair plus a buggy board with seat attachment for my wee girl.
NHS in our area aren’t allowed to reveal so we will have to go private to find out.

@AudreyJL That’s a good idea! I got my pram second hand too but for all that it was used, it’s practically new 😅 I’m going to buy a carrier this time around. Oh really? I never found out with my wee girl but I think we could have if we wanted to. Any ideas what you think this one is?

@Irishgal1987 we have a carrier as well so that’ll definitely come in handy again. Yeah sadly our NHS doesn’t do it due to concerns of legal actions and verbal abuse so we have to go private and sign a waiver that we won’t take legal action if we’re told wrong. I don’t actually know what this baby is 🤔I’m thinking girl but I don’t remember being so nauseous with my wee girl but then again, every pregnancy is different haha. How about you? How’s your symptoms? My nausea ramped up today and I’m not sure if it’s the pregnancy or the cold we all have

@AudreyJL I’m also thinking girl but nothing to base that on really haha. Just a feeling. Is it all day nausea you are having?
Symptoms are ok, nausea in the morning, sore/heavy boobs and very tired. I’m 6 weeks on Monday and wondering if all will change then haha.

@Irishgal1987 Today, yes. I made a bagel for breakfast and then took a bite and couldn’t manage it. Before that, I almost threw up brushing my teeth. Just no appetite overall today. Even cooking dinner made me so queasy. Tired as well and still sore nipples and major bloating

@AudreyJL That’s awful. I can still eat everything which maybe isn’t a great thing haha. I’ll look 6 months pregnant before I’m even 12 weeks at this rate. The bloating is horrendous!

@Irishgal1987 I already look 5 months pregnant due to the bloat 😂😂 haha enjoy all that you can enjoy for now! Who knows what will change and when!

@AudreyJL Thank God it’s not just me! Haha. One thing I’m nervous about is how my wee girl is going to take the sharing of me, she is such a clingy wee thing.

@Irishgal1987 I think I'm gonna cave and break out my maternity jeans haha. I'm nervous about that too. She doesn't like sharing me with anyone. When do you think you'll try and explain things to your wee girl about new baby?

@AudreyJL Haha do it. I literally wear leggings every day so not much will change here.
it’s so hard when they are clingy, you get nothing done! Probably not until after the 12 week scan, you told your wee girl didn’t you?

@Irishgal1987 not yet. But planning to soon I think. I’ll have to take her along to my first midwife appointment so I’m afraid she’ll be confused if I don’t explain a little beforehand. And she’s a smart little thing so who knows what she’ll be picking up and listening in to at the appointment 😂

@AudreyJL Haha good idea! Would she sit still for that appointment? My doll would be all over the place! she was very testing this evening and it scared me for another one on the way. I’m sure that’s normal enough.

@Irishgal1987 I think she would if I bring some activities for her or worst case scenario I would break out my phone and put on a wee show. She usually does quite well at being relatively quiet and non-disruptive when I prep her well in advance. I'm scared about sleep haha. My wee girl is very reliant on me for sleep. Will your wee girl be almost 2.5 when baby comes? Will you have help with her?

@AudreyJL That’s brilliant that you can keep her occupied. Aw thank God for YouTube in those situations if nothing else works haha. In the night garden and mr tumbles are firm faves in our house.
You will figure the sleep out, it’s mad how things just slot into place. Aye she will be around 2.5 when the baby arrives. My parents in in laws help occasionally now, we don’t have regular help.
6 weeks today and I’ve had nausea all morning, like clockwork haha. How are you feeling?

@Irishgal1987 On Youtube she loves Rolie Polie Olie, Max & Ruby and Numberblocks so that'll definitely help haha. A snack and her favourite show = quiet wee girl haha. 6 weeks Wednesday, my boobs are now tender all around, occasional heartburn. Nausea has been up and down. Some days it's bad I'm gagging at everything. Today it has been manageable. Do you think baby will come before or after due date?

@AudreyJL Must look those shows up! I’m feeling it today with the nausea. I’m not sure actually. I was induced with my first and I definitely don’t want that again. Very traumatic. What are you thinking?

@Irishgal1987 I'm feeling the nausea now 😫I went into labour on my own 3 days before my due date but resulted in c-section in the end and she came a day before her due date. So I'm hoping around baby's due date +/- couple days haha

@AudreyJL @Irishgal1987 hey both!!! Sorry I've been so bad, the nausea and the exhaustion has been absolutely insane. I'm hanging on by a thread 🤣🤣🤣🤣 because it's my first I've no idea how bad is too bad or what is normal! But I've been struggling to even work!! How are you both feeling? Xxx

@AudreyJL @tinybabydancer Hi girls, hope you are both doing good! I have had a difficult couple of days. Started bleeding quite heavy on Sat afternoon. It stopped and now brown smear when I wipe, no clots or cramping. I’m booked into EPU for a scan on Wed. Still feel pregnant so 🤞🏻
any scans booked in girls? x

@tinybabydancer if you’re struggling to function day to day, I would speak to your GP. There’s medication they can prescribe to help curb your nausea. My nausea is bad but not bad to the point I can’t do much but eating is always the hard part for me. Hope your nausea gets better soon. My bloating is still intense that I can’t hide I’m pregnant haha x

@Irishgal1987 oh no I’m so sorry to hear about the bleeding but I’m glad it stopped and no cramping is a good thing. Hope the scan with epu goes well. No scans booked for me just yet. Thinking of you x

@AudreyJL thank-you. Hoping all will be ok. Still feel very pregnant so I’m trying to be positive. It was the fresh red blood that terrified me and makes you think the worst.
The bloating is horrible isn’t it, hope you are taking it easy. x
