Bad cramping 4 weeks pregnant

Hi girls
I found out I was pregnant last week and I have been cramping on and off since. Today I am 4 weeks 5 days pregnant and since last night the cramping has been really painful and intense. I thought this morning it would calm down but it's still awful.

It's too early for the doctors to do anything so I just wanted to see if anyone had experience the same?

I do also have advanced endometriosis and I had a laparoscopy end of October to help with fertility (and luckily I got pregnant after this)

I'm just finding this really overwhelming and hard. I've not had any spotting or blood, but every time I go to the toilet I'm worried it will be there.

Any advice would be amazing thank you :)

My cramps aren’t severe, just like period cramps like AF is about to start. Managed to sleep fine last night. Haven’t spotted this morning but still cramping. I took two tests last night but my urine might be diluted as I was busting for the toilet 😅 one test the line was fainter than the control line (last night it was equally as dark) but still visibly there and the second test, same darkness as the control line but the control line wasn’t very dark compared to last night so I don’t even know at this point what is going on. They appear very fast still - like as the purple dye progresses up the stick, the line appears then the control line so I’m holding onto that I guess.

No spotting this morning yet but I keep checking 😅 nausea is still there along with sore nipples so maybe it was just some old blood?

@AudreyJL aw so glad to hear you have had no more blood, maybe it was old blood or just one of those random things that can happen. Let’s hope that’s the end of it 🤞🏻 glad you got a good sleep too! I’m pretty crampy today too if that helps make it feel more normal. Good to see the pregnancy symptoms there. I miscarried before my wee girl and I remember the pregnancy symptoms disappearing almost immediately, it was so sad.
we just love to see the symptoms 😅 I’m still liking the coffee so far, I’ll be 6 weeks on Monday so wonder if that will change.

I heard that with the developing placenta burrowing into the womb, it can sometimes cause some spotting so hopefully it was that or it was when the embryo implanted and that blood is just now making its way out. It just so happen the cramps started back up after a wee break the same time the spotting happened but it could’ve been unrelated. It definitely help when we have similar symptoms haha. Enjoy the coffee as long as you can haha. I’m craving fried egg with soy sauce 😂😂 and gagged when I tasted some milk this morning 😂😂 with my first, I couldn’t stand eggs. Will you book an early scan?

@AudreyJL ahh well that does make sense! Hopefully that’s what it was but jeez very scary for you. You will be taking it easy this weekend.

@AudreyJL I definitely will be taking it easy - well as easy as I can take with a bouncing toddler haha. I am tempted to book in an early scan for when I'm roughly 8.5 weeks-9 weeks.

@AudreyJL Haha easier said than done with a toddler. My doll has limitless energy 😂
you do right booking in a scan, if it’s available to you why not! Our process here is normally a booking appt around 10 weeks and then first scan around 12 weeks.

I had my scan this morning and all looks great, I am so relieved!! Measuring 6 weeks and 3 days so slightly ahead of what I thought.

I do have a cyst on one of my ovaries that they will keep an eye on but they said it's totally normal, so maybe that is why I was cramping more too! So far so good 🥰💕

@Irishgal1987 with the NHS, our booking appointment is around 8 weeks then the scan at 12 weeks. I always find it so hard to wait till 12 weeks. The 8 week scan will be private. I think it’s around £55 so it’s not too bad. I swear our toddlers have the most energy right before bedtime when we’re all drained haha

@tinybabydancer I am doing much better 😊 just hoping I won’t start spotting again. Still cramping 😅oh I’m so glad your scan went well!! Xx that’s incredible news! I too had a cyst on one of my ovaries with my first and that went away with no issues at my 12 week scan so hopefully that’s the same for you x

@AudreyJL its such a long wait until the 12 week scan! The private 8 week scan is not bad ££ at all actually. Haha I know, it’s a full sport getting them ready for bed!
@tinybabydancer amazing news about your scan, I’m sure you are so relieved. So good to hear another experience of a cyst too so hopefully you have the same outcome 😊 I’m all good thanks, a bit crampy today. A bit of nausea in the morn.

@Irishgal1987 Still in my room. Her bed is pushed up right next to mine 😅just the thought of sleeping in her own room makes her cry. She says she doesn't want to not be with me. With my own childhood, my brother was 3 when I was born and we were both in our parents room. Then my mum put both of us in a shared room at the same time (2 & 5) which apparently helped the transition.

@AudreyJL Fair play to you, you are probably so used to it now too and love seeing her there. I was delighted to get my room back if I’m honest, probably sounds selfish but aw well haha.

@Irishgal1987 She's still breastfed to sleep and when she wakes up in the morning. When she's up in the middle of the night, it's cuddles back to sleep so having her next to me is definitely easier as I don't have to be fully awake haha. I'm definitely used to it but glad she at least has her own bed

@AudreyJL that’s amazing! Breastfeeding and pregnant must be soo tough. Im absolutely exhausted tonight, first time I’ve properly felt it!

@Irishgal1987 It's difficult when my nipples are so sore! So I try and limit it haha. Still unsure if I will actually wean her or allow her to continue and try tandem feeding haha. Cause I know if I wean too late, she might regress. I'm tired too, like not sleepy but just drained! Are you still cramping? Hope you get some good rest tonight x

@AudreyJL I can just imagine the pain! Ouch! You are going to have a right wee party in the room when the baby arrives haha.
Still cramping but it hasn’t went on to more painful cramps, just dull cramping like light period pains. What about you? Aye it’s the hungover feeling with the tiredness isn’t it haha. Hope you get a good sleep too!

@Irishgal1987 Haha we'll be partying all night! Still trying to figure out our sleeping arrangements in my head haha. Mine is just like period cramps. Really feels like it's about to come on.

@AudreyJL You have a wee bit of time yet to figure it out. Yeah I’m a bit like that too. Must be normal enough. I can’t remember what it was like first time around much.

@Irishgal1987 I remember being crampy with my first haha. Do you have much to reuse from your first or do you have to get more bits and bobs?

@AudreyJL I’m hoping I can reuse the majority of what I already have. What about you? We are going to find the sex out this time around which is exciting!

@Irishgal1987 For the most part, we have lots we can reuse. We just need to figure out our sleeping situation to know what to get, we need to get a new pushchair... do you have any recommendations for 2-in-1 systems that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? haha And a highchair as we hated our last one.
