Hey guys.
So, I had a chemical on the 20th December following a round of IVF.
to my shock I got a positive test on Tuesday evening naturally. Something we never thought would happen for us.
took another this morning and a bit concerned with the progression. Obviously I’m paranoid about another chemical. From the dates I should be 4+6 but with the chemical I have no idea when I ovulated.
can you see any progression here and would you expect darker tests.
top one is from Tuesday evening and bottom is for this morning. TIA

Progression lines???

It's hard to tell to be honest! But you're definitely pregnant! That's a very strong positive! If you can, try and stop testing and maybe book yourself an early reassurance scan if you feel it would help. But congratulations! It might be that the CP gave your system a jumpstart. Have you informed your IVF clinic? I'm sure they'd be more than happy to do some tests/scans for reassurance?! Will keep everything crossed for you!

Thank for replying @MummyV2021 iv called the epau but they won’t scan til 6 weeks so booked in for next Friday. Iv not told my ivf clinic just yet as Iv had to wait to get a follow up appointment from the chemical in December. I was on a waiting list and they’ve booked me in for 24th feb. Don’t want to tell them until I know for certain, I don’t want to have to wait a few months for another appointment if anything happens with this one if that makes sense?

@Anonneom yes that makes sense, I haven't had to go through IVF myself so hadn't thought of that. Really good you've been booked in for a scan with EPAU. If it offers any reassurance at all, I've had a few chemical pregnancies and have never had a line as strong as that on any of them! I appreciate it doesn't rule out potential MC, but for me, that line would suggest that for now your egg is well and truly implanted. Try to relax (if you can) until you have your scan!

@MummyV2021 thanks so much for the reassurance. I think I’m just always going to be doubtful until I see something on a scan haha.

@Anonneom I can completely empathise with you - I was the same with my little boy (now 3) as got my BFP with him after an early MC, followed by a CP the following month, took a month off and got pregnant the month after. The anxiety was real, even after early scans! I relaxed a bit after the 12 week one but the losses do steal some of the success of the joys unfortunately. Keep me posted on your scan - I'm always hear with a sympathetic ear if you ever need

@MummyV2021 hey, I just wanted to update you as your message was so lovely. It’s been a wild ride. I went for a scan on 31st Jan, they couldn’t see anything significant but could see potentially the start of a gestational sac. Took hcg which came back at 2100. Took again in 48hours and it had only gone up by 38%. Took for a 3rd time 48 hours later and it had actually dropped by 2% so the hospital were very concerned it was ectopic and needed to scan me urgently to find the pregnancy. Went for a scan yesterday and gestational sac, yolk and fetal pole where all there in the right place, measuring just short of 6 weeks so no heartbeat just yet, going back in 2 weeks to check progression and if there’s a heartbeat. Crazy times. Thank you for your well wishes!!!!

@Anonneom oh wow that really has been a bit of a wild ride! Thank you for sharing, you must be feeling allll the emotions! But sounds like it's potentially moving in the right direction though which is amazing! Did they say why your HCG might have dropped or could it just be a natural fluctuation?! Really happy for you though, fingers crossed for your next scan in 2 weeks!!
