hi
I have had 2 chemicals and 1 missed miscarriage in 9 months.
the missed miscarriage was confirmed that the baby had edwards syndrome.

I have only just turned 40 and thinking of starting low aspirin. I have an appointment with Tommys on 5th March but was going to start it now.

I have read the research that suggests it could possibly help in recurrent miscarriage situations, but can it cause harm ??

what do you all think xxxx

I took 150mg daily from ovulation until 36 weeks with my son after 5 miscarriages. This was prescribed by NHS consultant I had progesterone alongside too. Wishing you all the best

This is an absolute true story. I had two miscarriages in a row. I went to my GP and he said his wife has over 10 (wow).

He said he has dinner with an old colleague specialising in obstetrics. That consultant told him to tell his wife to take low dose aspirin. She fell and kept the baby. He called it ‘sticky blood’. Apparently your blood can get ever so slightly thicker as you get older and the blood can struggle to flow to fetus sometimes resulting in miscarriage

I took it, fell and went on to have a healthy baby in late 30’s.

My friend was struggling - I told her this story at 40. She had a miscarriage, started taking it and went on to have a health baby.

I have told this story to two other friends who went on to conceive and safely carry after miscarriage.

Im no medical doctor. Maybe it was believed or a placebo effect or whatever but it worked. I asked my consultant about it and she said it was safe to take and I could take it through pregnancy but at least to twelve weeks.

Im not filling out false hope but I would absolutely take it.

Please do speak to your own doctor as again I’m not a doctor and don’t want to steer you wrong. Good luck.

I had 1 chemical & 2 mmc within 12 months. Then a healthy pregnancy around a year after. I was found to have an under active thyroid so it’s worth getting this checked. For my healthy pregnancy along with the levothyroxine I took low dose aspirin, high strength folic acid and progesterone pessaries.

I had 2 MCs in 2022

Took 75mg from day of positive test in subsequent pregnancy, resulting in DD1. Now due next week with DC2 after taking low dose aspirin again...

Definitely worth a try, no risk that I was aware of or encountered x
