1mm retained tissue

Hi there, I had a miscarriage in November 2024. Still bleeding, I’m ovulating and had one period but I still have 1mm retained tissue. I’ve googled such a small amount of retained tissue and can find nothing. I was wondering if anyone here has had it as the drs seem unsure what to do. Many thanks

I feel for you. I also had a miscarriage in Nov and had retained tissue with continuous bleeding. I had too little left for a safe d+c so was given medication to get me to pass it. But I kept bleeding. Eventually they think the majority of it is gone so I have been given Norethisterone three times a day with the hope that after that my periods restart as normal and during my period I pass anything left. I'm still bleeding alittle.

There is no information out there other than the after 3 weeks you'll stop bleeding and the sun will fucking shine. It's awful that they just leave women with no advice and alone.

I have no advice that can help other than to say you aren't the only one going through this. It has made me feel so alone and broken so I hope that knowing you aren't the only makes you feel a little less alone in this 💔

Hey sweet I’m so sorry you are going through this to and you have put the way I feel into words perfectly. I keep getting passed from pillar to post. Had an mva it didn’t work so then we’re going to do another mva then changed their minds then said they were going to operate all the paperwork was done, I’d not eaten, they had a bed ready for me etc but then they decided to do nothing and review me in 6 weeks when it still bleeding they’d do a hysteroscopy and if anything was left they’d take it out. When got there the consultant said why are I here, I explained and she was like you need mva not a hysteroscopy so I said not going for an mva with only 2mm remaining tissue as usu damage my womb so they did the hysteroscopy found some tissue took a sample that has come back as normal endometrial tissue? I had my period which was soooo heavy it lasted 10 days and I haven’t bled for 4 days I was soooooo happy thought it was all over but today had the scan and there’s still 1mm left so she’s written to consultant to see what’s next. I have misoprostol before no issues but apparently I lost a lot of blood in the mva so to have misoprostol I have to be admitted apparently ffs. I really don’t want any surgery as I think there’s a high chance they will damage my womb. I am 41 and a half and need ivf so I really don’t have time to waste as all. I’m just a mess, I can handle loosing the baby but it’s really messing with my head that it’s still not over 😥😥😥.
