Right, not going to test until AF due, not going to obsess over sore boobs, not going to think about baby names, not going to give up alcohol. Anyone want to join me in pretending to not obsess about symptoms/lack of?

Yelloflowers what dpo are you on???

Pixiepod · 10/05/2008 01:05

Hi there everyone, I'm new to this thread, am ttc this month - cycle 1 - so just to say good luck to everyone for this month. Once started ttc it seems can think of nothing else!!

tousletop · 10/05/2008 09:43

2BG hope you had some fun last night, might b woth a GOF tonight too

Thanks PrePG, had a BBQ and wine last night, and didn't mention TTC once to DH, going to try to be more que sera que sera about it all... and nicer to him. Thought I might order him some treats and maybe waiting for those will take mind off waiting for AF.
I would clutch at those straws, surely that's what mid cycle spotting often is?

Yellow - I didn't think tests could be positive this early (but had to be worth a try!)

I'm getting period like cramps with still a week to go, does this just mean AF going to be early? Doesn't mean anything awful like endometriosis does it??? As if I need another thing to worry about...

bamamama · 10/05/2008 10:58

Hello all - I'm in Oz so end of the day here. Been crampy all day but not due on until Tues at earliest. Of course never feel cramps normally - just super sensitive at the moment! I'm doing a 10k run in the morning, hope I don't feel so bloated and nauseous as I do this evening (although that could have been the spag bol....)

2beautifulgirls · 10/05/2008 11:04

Morning everyone...

Welcome pixiepod Is this your first DC?

Tousle the cramps could be implantation

We had a GOF this morning as DH was too engrossed with beer and making music to notice me last night He only had a few but was snoring like a horse and did some weird things during the night? He got up to go to the toilet, went into DD2 room then came out took his boxers off on the landing and left them there then went to pee! Couldn't remember any of it this morning! then has been sick this morning, serves him right

So how is everyone feeling? Any symptom spotting
i'm spotty, snotty, starving all the time, and past few morning been waking up with my eys stuck together all crusty Not attractive at all. Never had hayfever. Plus my eyes are red this morning and sore!

My nan called this morning and Grandad is doing ok, taking her up to the hospital later, she was going to get the bus bless her! Can you believe at our local visiting is for an hour a day?

tousletop · 10/05/2008 12:34

2BG so pleased your grandad ok. Apparently lots of hayfever this year because of all oilseed rape being planted for biofuel... You must be a good wife to go near DH on the morning after such a night before, my DH always vile in these circumstances.

beaniesteve · 10/05/2008 12:41

I'm Spotty, am on day 23 of a 24 day cycle and still no spotting. Have been carrying heavy things all mrning (doing the garden and going to the dump) - not sure if I should be. Ah well.

2bg - glad your Grandad is doing ok.

Pixiepod · 10/05/2008 14:32

Hi 2BG, glad to hear your grandad is stablising. Yes is my first (would be my first) DC if I am fortunate enough to conceive. Had a MC last September - (was on cycle 1 so was big surprise when conceived, then lost, so soon) and haven't felt up to trying again until now. I have read lots of the ttc threads and is really reassuring to feel you're not on your own in this exciting but nerve wracking journey!!

Last time I remember I felt a sharp pain in right side around ovulation (and obviously conceived that time) but this time, no twinges so far. Am paranoid am not ovulating. I guess I should just give it time!

2beautifulgirls · 10/05/2008 21:17

pixiepod sorry to hear of your MC last year.
What CD are you?

I've just got back from the hospital and Grandad is a little better than yesterday, still very confused, they believe he has an infection but need to do more tests to ascertain where.
Thank you to everyone who has posted message about him.

So tonight i have really sore nipples that always seem erect

bamamama · 11/05/2008 03:58

2BG, glad to hear your grandad is on the mend.

Pixiepod, sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I had an early mc 5 yrs ago but then went on to have a text book pregnancy with ds. I'm sure you will too

Well, did my 10k and survived then realised that the last time I did a 10k was 5 years ago just before I found out I was pg (the mc one). So, really trying to not look for coincidences!

Also really trying not to even peep at the Due Jan 09 thread. I'm so heading for a fall!

Sore boobs and feeling 'full' today. Was in a terrifically bad mood yesterday (although DH was to blame for that) so jury is still out.

Hope you enjoy your weekend ladies.

beaniesteve · 11/05/2008 09:33

Day 24. My monitor is flashing a little 'm' but still no period for me.

Squack · 11/05/2008 12:15

We're in the same boat beanie, my monitor's been flashing 'm' at me for 3 days.

It clearly is as clueless as me

2beautifulgirls · 11/05/2008 16:46

Afternoon everyone,

Well done on completing your 10K run Bamamama What CD are you?

We have been in the garden all day a little bit red now....

Only a week until i test! If i last that long

Who is the next tester?

Pixiepod · 11/05/2008 22:21

Hi 2BG, thanks for asking Hi all, hope everyone doing ok tonight. I am on CD, er, let me see... 17, and 3dpo (assuming 28 day cycle). Am trying to BD every other day this week to maximise opportunity! Came off the pill two months ago, since then I had 1st AF as "normal", if not slightly longer (lasting 7 days instead of 5) then 2 weeks in, light bleeding for a few days. Got 2nd AF on day 33 from original AF. So don't know what's going on! Have had 3 periods in 2 months, heck.

Anyway, am going to assume 28 day cycle and test on 22nd May. Last time in September which ended in mc, I was so sure it wouldn't happen for months that I didn't bother doing (or even buying) a test until 4 days late. It was negative, which I was expecting. When AF hadn't arrived by day 6 I did another test and got a verrrrry faint positive. Squint and you'd miss it. (The tests were only cheap Superdrug ones, so sure was I that I definately wasn't pg - no point splashing out on the pricey ones hey!!) I lurked on MN and gathered a "line is a line is a line"! so decided to buy a Clearblue the next day which showed a most definate BFP!and then I was shocked.

I doubt I'd be that lucky twice, so am preparing mentally for the long haul.

yellowflowers · 11/05/2008 23:37

Was away for weekend so lots of BDing just in case I am having one of my occasional 35 day cycles. But assuming I'm not today (Sunday) I should be 8dpo.

OP posts:
bamamama · 12/05/2008 03:41

Hi all. I'm on CD28 and approx 12dpo but I'm attempting to hang out until Saturday as my cycle in the last 9 months has been anything from 24 to 33 days (usually around 27-29 days though).

I feel awful today, really bleuggh and sickky. Thankfully it seems ds is going to have a nap (he's been cutting out the day naps completely) so I can sit down with a cup of tea and feel prematurely excited sorry for myself.

Who is next to test?

tousletop · 12/05/2008 08:26

Morning!
Any news Beanie and PrePG?
Bamamama - sounds promising...

2beautifulgirls · 12/05/2008 09:31

morning everyone
Any news for anyone this morning?

fingers crossed for you beanie as i'm sure an 'm' flashing is meaning good news even thou i have no clue what it means

well done on all the BDing yellowflowers Did you go anywhere nice?

bamamama think you will be next to test, sounding good with the sickky feelings, fingers crossed for you. How old is your DS? My DD2 is 1.11 and just gave up her daytime naps a few weeks ago....And now wakes at 6.30ish every morning too

tousletop · 12/05/2008 09:43

Morning 2BG.
If we all had perfect fertility (and so didn't need to be on this thread) then maybe we should have timed further pregnancies to coincide with older child(ren) still having naps....
Pixie, no reason to think you won't be pregnant again straight away, I have 2 friends who were in much the same situation as you, and both got pregnant straight away when started trying again after a break following a mc

beaniesteve · 12/05/2008 09:55

Morning Tousletop! Haven't tested though I am now officially late! How long shall I wait! I ovulated on CD16 and it's now CD25 so that would make me 9DPO (short luteal phase).

Have absolutely no symptoms and just keep thinking that my period will show up any minute. Will Just hang on as long as I can.

Anyone seen PrePG?

Pixiepod · 12/05/2008 10:05

Thanks for the kind words Tousletop also Bamamama. It is reassuring to know that it can happen that way sometimes. Guess we all just have to keep positive! Am keeping my fingers crossed for everyone who is in anticipation this week. Hope its good news.

Last time I had just started taking sea kelp, horsetail and zinc (for my hair - it hasn't been looking its best in the last few years) and felt it may have "kickstarted" my system, so am doing the same now, even though the two things are probably totally unrelated! The things we do

SweetieDarling · 12/05/2008 10:20

PS it's Pixiepod here - have changed name x

yellowflowers · 12/05/2008 11:18

To Boradstairs to the sea. Am burnt though

tousletop · 12/05/2008 11:22

Beanie - this is so so exciting! Personally I would do a test tomorrow first thing as I don't think I'd be able to wait any longer.
When you do one, promise you will let us know asap.
Cute new name Sweetie

yellowflowers · 12/05/2008 11:30

I just made a cup of tea and thought the milk was off. Got all excited. 'OMG OMG 'I'm pg' I thought. DH walks in sniffs the milk and says 'this milk is off'. Oh!
