TTC after MC

Hi all
I had an ectopic which thankfully "resolved" itself to a MC back in September. I was 8 weeks at the time and since then we have been trying to conceive with no luck 😢

I've had some private hormone tests and some on the nhs, all clear and "normal" ranges. I'm taking the proceive vitamins and we are DTD every day (some times twice a day) during ovulation.

I'm back on the TWW to see if this cycle has been successful and it's hell. Got another 8 days till AF is due.

I'm not really looking for answers just here to vent about how frustrating the whole baby making process is 😢

Hiya, I have nothing to add except I feel you on how frustrating this whole process can be! I was just wondering what made you decide to do the private hormone test as well as the NHS one?

It's horrible isn't it. Just praying to see a positive again and trying to keep faith every month.

I'd already arranged the private ones for December before I seen my GP because I thought my GP would fob me off as I'd already had a pregnancy but when I got the appointment with the GP she was actually really nice about sending for blood tests and checking progesterone and hormone levels pre period. But yeah no particular reason for doing both I just thought I'd either be told no or have long delays for tests with the NHS

Hello! I'm sorry to hear about your loss, I also had a miscarriage in November. We've now started trying again, and I noticed the initial deflation feeling like we've gone back to square one.

I'm no expert, but I do remember our consultant saying that too much intercourse could be a bad thing around ovulation, as the sperm isn't regenerating as quickly, therefore dropping the sperm count and could actually be more of a hindrance than a help. We DTD every other day, but my husband also has a lower sperm count, so that could be why we were recommended this!

We're in the process of being accepted for IVF. We were initially on a waiting list and they said wait 16 weeks, this week was 16 week mark. I emailed to check on my position, they said it's now been extended to 28 weeks 😂. So I'm definitely feeling the frustration of it all! I'm just trying to concentrate on other things in my life.
