Hi all does anyone know if after you've miscarried/ bleeding for a week you will have a high ovulation surge has anyone had this?

I don't track with OPKs to confirm a surge but a week after my miscarriage I had a lot of EWCM for 2 days and my period started 2ish weeks later. So I likely ovulated then, my HCG was low enough and I only get EWCM during ovulation m. However you can still have high amounts of HCG remaining in your system a week after your MC that can show a strong positive on OPKs. If you had low HCG/negative pregnancy test, then it's very possible to have an ovulation surge.

I'm not sure there'd be many people who use OPKs straight after an MC to be able to say for sure. I guess it would depend on when you have your MC and how long your bleed is for. I had an early MC in December (at 5 weeks so only just not a chemical), bled for 5 days then stopped and started bleeding again 3 days later only lightly though. That continued for about a week but I also had EWCM at the same time and then had what I recognised to be ovulation cramps whilst still lightly bleeding so I did an OPK and it was positive - but that would have been CD13 for me based on the first day of my original bleed so made sense for me in my cycle and my normal day of ovulation being CD14.

Not sure if that's helpful as sounds different to your timings but unfortunately there's no hard and fast rules with our hormones it would seem!

I had a mmc at 12 weeks with surgical intervention and got pg 1 week later

Hi I'm currently nearly 6 weeks pregnant, I fell straight after my miscarriage without a period. I started bleeding 1st December for 8 days, then I had so much EWCM 7 days later so tracked my ovulation just using the cheap ones, I had it for 3 days and then got my peak on the 18th then tested positive 10dpo

But I did have my hcg level checked 2nd they were 45 and by day 5 of bleeding my pregnancy test was negative
