Clearblue digital worrying me

Hi all, really hoping to hear some others experiences… AF was due 5th Jan, got a positive result on 8th Jan. Line appeared within less than a minute.

Worrying about evap lines after reading threads here, I tested again on 9th Jan. Got a positive again, and confirmed with a digital which said 1-2 weeks.

I think I ovulated on the 22nd December, which is nearly 3 weeks ago. Does this mean that I should be concerned about the 1-2 weeks on the digital? Or does it mean that conception happened a week after ovulation, and therefore the results are correct?

I’m reading so much conflicting advice, and threads about chemical pregnancies etc and driving myself a bit mad. Sorry for the long post!

Hey lovely! Firstly, congratulations! I would say for 4 days after your period is due that 1-2 weeks is quite normal, especially if you implanted later (as it would mean up to 2 weeks from conception). HCG levels can vary so much and these tests aren't the most reliable in terms of the weeks indicator bit (they're definitely reliable in terms of confirming positive/negative). I was obsessed with these in my first pregnancy and actually got 2-3 weeks quite early but didn't get 3+ until over a week later and I stupidly did the one I had left a couple of days after and it had gone back to 2-3 so I obviously panicked but then they day after it was 3+ again! So obviously lots of reasons for different readings on them. Try not to panic and test again in a week if you think it will reassure you but try not to read too much into the weeks indicator. I've also seen that some people never get more than 1-2 weeks

Thank you for your reply! Will test again in a week, and try to relax about it in the meantime. We’ve been trying for a long time, so just really hoping it all works out.

Take a breath. It looks like you are pregnant. Until you have signs otherwise try not to worry and please stop doom scrolling on google diagnosis for chemical pregnancies.

Congratulations!

Unfortunately I started bleeding on Sunday afternoon and the EPU have confirmed a chemical pregnancy today.
