Low hcg levels

mumofoneDS · 07/01/2025 16:01

My levels are 86.3 when 4 weeks 1 day

It seems like that's a very low end, should I be worried? 😔

Feels like everyone else is at least 100+

Was anyone else's levels this low? Panicking a little

I just want to be as realistic and truthful as I can, back in September I had low hcg it started to more than double but still on the low end it ended up ectopic but a lady that was in hospital at the same time as me also had low hcg from the start and was getting regular bloods and scans and everything was fine for her so it can go either way

The "normal" range for levels is rather large (see attached screen shot). The main thing to focus on is whether the level is more or less doubling every 48 hours.

@mumofoneDS 86 is fine for 4+1. The key thing is the doubling. If you really want to know (I did and found it helpful but others find it causes more anxiety) then you need to check every 48 hours to check how it increases.

Best of luck x

Thanks :) I had another blood test yesterday at 4 + 3 (so 2 days apart) and will get the results tomorrow so fingers crossed there's a good increase

@mumofoneDS fingers crossed. I would say the doubling isn't necessarily definitive tho as I'm on a forum with lots of women whose numbers didn't double normally but in many cases things were ok. Hope it all works out x

Mine were 16 at 4 weeks - 2 days later 48. My consultant said they were fine and she was right! A very healthy pregnancy (and baby!) followed. Good luck x

Thank you so much for the reassurance. I should have my test results by this afternoon so hoping for some positive news. Pregnancy is so hard after previous losses x

Top is Tuesday AM
Bottom is today (Thursday AM)

Hoping this means that the hcg is rising okay 🫶🏼

got my results back they’re 280 now! So it’s more than tripled in 2.5 days, so relieved 🥰

Great news OP! Good luck.

Janefx40 · 10/01/2025 19:50

Oh that's great news. The anxiety of being pregnant after a loss is intense I know. I've been there. But looking good so far and hope it all goes well for you x

I’m so sorry to hear this. I think that’s what’s happening to me too, I should be 6 weeks but HCG is only 655 and we didn’t dtd the week after I thought I was ovulating so unlikely to just have ovulated late. Back in tomorrow for a scan and repeat bloods. this will be my second in 3 months - it’s so hard x
