Bleeding throughout luteal phase

I’m just wondering if anyone has experienced similar and can shed some light? I will be getting a GP appointment about this, I’ve already been once about it but as I was having a chemical pregnancy at the time the GP put everything down to the CP and I felt rather fobbed off.

We’ve been TTC for a year and we’ve have a MMC and a fair few chemicals in that time. But the last few cycles I’ve been bleeding for about 3 weeks each time, basically throughout my luteal phase then AF.

Cycle 8 of TTC was normal, I started taking Vit B6 this cycle as I always spot for a day or so before AF. Also had a possible CP.

Cycle 9 I started spotting about a day before I ovulated. Around 2dpo I started with a light flow and clots, BBT still high though. Had a bit of a flow for a few days then back to spotting - had bleeding every day. Temp dropped at 12dpo (usual day) and bleeding started getting heavier BUT I also got very faint positives on 2 brands of early pregnancy tests. 3 days later I start testing negative again, GP put it down to a CP and I assumed the 12dpo temp drop to be CD1.

Cycle 10 started spotting in the evening of 1dpo and continued spotting until 13dpo when temp dropped and heavy flow started. BFN on test at 12dpo. Stopped taking B6 a couple of days after bleeding started incase it was that.

Just getting so frustrated because it feels like we have zero chance of conceiving and I don’t know what’s happening. If you’ve got this far then thank you so much. I know I need to seek medical attention and I will do but after being dismissed the last time I was just wondering if anyone else had had this and what was it? Did it resolve itself? What do I need to push for or ask for?

Thanks so much in advance!

I had that many months, and although the doctor didn't really explain it or seem particularly focused on it (I did IVF), I found that additional progesterone after ovulation completely stopped the bleeding.

In your shoes, I would ask for progesterone blood tests after ovulation to make sure your levels are high enough. Best of luck!

I used to spot from about 4 dpo until my period. I got pregnant after 5 months, the month I conceived I was also spotting but it stopped and AF didn’t start. I was concerned but my gp wasn’t.

Since I had my baby my periods are much more regular and I don’t have any spotting at all between periods so I think it must have been a hormonal issue.

Awwww thank you both so much for taking the time to read and respond! Thanks so much for your kind words of advice!

@Blacksheeproaming That’s really reassuring that you still conceived! @mushroomushroom yes a progesterone test is a good shout actually. I did have a couple done back around September time and they were fine but that was before this spotting nonsense all started!
