Am I doing something wrong?

My last period was 24th December and lasted for approx 4 days- they are only ever very light. My cycles vary each month between 29-31 days.

I've been using the premom app to try and track my cycle leading up to ovulation and have been peeing on sticks..

But I am getting confused.

When I've used first morning urine, I've had some faint line/result but when I use urine later in the day, the line completely disappears/no results. And I'm not drinking excessively.

What am I doing wrong?

For what it's worth, I have PCOS. I've attached the sticks and what the app predicts.

As in why would my first morning urine test be a higher level then mid afternoon or evening?

I'm wondering if I've missed the boat this month.

Is it worth using clear blue digital test, rather than easy@home

The flow app says this though? So I'm confused.

I would assume your morning test is less diluted so is showing a line. LH is pretty much always present so those tests are just showing your base line on different times of the day.

Keep testing longer. I have 31 day cycle and I only get an ovulation test positive on day 19. Even if your cycle is 29 days long I'd expect your ovulation day to be day 15-18. Youre only on day 11 at the moment, have you put in the app settings that your average cycle length is 30 days? The apps aren't always right so don't rely on them too heavily. Hope that makes sense.

And just to reassure you this is my tests so far this cycle! Normal for the line to not be that visible, it will only start darkening closer to ovulation.

My cycles can vary anything up to 31 days or so.

So one month: 29 days
Second month: 31 days
Thurs month: 30 days

Etc etc and totally random.

I don't understand this whole thing 🤣

I think I'm just confused because it is a darker line in the morning, compared to midday/evening.

Is the morning a false reading?

Basically, it's just in the morning you haven't had enough to drink, so your urine is stronger and therefore the line is darker. As the day goes on and you drink/eat, your urine dilutes so the line is lighter. This is only by small amounts though, which is why all your results are light, because its early in your cycle. Once you ovulate it'll be much much darker regardless of the time of day :)

I would say keep testing for the next few days to see what happens, because the app suggests you ovulate day 11 (today), which could be too early for you, which is why your line is only very faint? To see if your app is accurate keep testing for another few days and see if line gets darker. Good luck x

Hi OP,
It would not matter if the morning is slightly darker, so far your tests are negative, you will definitely notice when they are positive they will be very dark!
Also don't trust your app too much, it's only a mathematical prediction based on other women but every woman is different. My cycles are 31 days and I ovulate on day 24 usually.

Sorry I meant to say I usually ovulate on day 19!

Here's an example of my tests to show you how dark it gets
