Tested 2 days before my period and got a BFP, I the tested the day after and had a negative, how possible is this?

Hello everyone,

As describes in my title, I tested on day 27 of my cycle, and the test appears positive, I did however pop it into my dressing gown pocket and check on it after 5 minutes. The day after I tested on a different cheap brand of test and it was negative. I had sex once 2 days before predictive ovulation. I’m not sure if I have any symptoms, semi sensitive nipples, wind and tummy pain for 2 days. Has anyone experienced anything similar and been pregnant ?

Chemical pregnancy. Implanted enough to trigger HCG but pregnancy was not sustained.

I've had those twice.
As above it was a chemical pregnancy. Slightly heavier period and delayed by a couple of days but it synced up again easily and I was able to continue TTC after.

Did you dip the test or pee on it directly?

Some tests are different sensitivities. Testing first thing is best too.

I did wonder, they were both extremes cheap brands.

I'm not sure that's a second line, it looks like it might be the dye line where it runs from, the positive line is usually closer to the control line x

Hello, I’m going through the same thing. Tested the day before period due and saw a line, tested the day after period due and no line. I’m now 4 days late and still waiting for my period to come. Let me know how you get on!

I’m only one day late, but haven’t tested since New Year’s Eve x
