Irregular cycles and TTC help

Hi all,
trying to conceive baby number 2. 40 next year. We got caught first time with our first and so far been trying for 3 months - unsuccessful. It’s so frustrating and exhausting. Thing is my cycle ranges from 21-27 days with Flo always predicting when my next period would start despite not being consistent (irregular). Since beginning to try in Oct, Flo has been all over the place. I had a 28 day cycle last month which is the first time in years and this month only 20 days. I’m using ovulating strips which aren’t picking up ovulation. Is it possible to ovulate as soon as my period has finished? Any tips?

I definitely recommend getting the fertility friend app and tracking your BBT. It takes a couple of months to get the hang of it but I find it very accurate in pinpointing ovulation.

How lucky that you conceived first time. In the scope of getting pregnant 3 months is nothing really, I know it may feel a lot. It’s unlikely you would ovulate immediately after a period. You can go for a private scan to put your mind at ease where they check you ovaries etc and can see if you ovulate and all okay
