8DPO - VVFL?

Let me start by saying that yes, 8dpo is ridiculously early to be testing and clear blue is the devil, but while I'm waiting for my FRERs I thought why not. Does this look like a very very faint start of a bfp?? Came up straight away, not like your usual CB evap.

I feel like I can see something but I really don't trust these tests at all! Def looks more like a VFL than an evap but would def try with a pink dye test to be sure!

I don't trust them either. I had some awful evaps last month. Clear instructions for dp to get me pink dye tests this time, I don't think he quite got the message 😂Evap below, no colour and thin line, so fingers crossed this is the real deal this time

until you see a firm line in the time on these tests don't trust them.

Thank you, that's very true. I'll take it as a negative for now. It was taken after a 1.5-2 hour hold, so I think it's rather unlikely to be positive. Might do the other in the morning and use FRER from there

The wait is so hard but seriously I have over the years go so many false faint lines on these tests and my period the next day. They aren't reliable. But if they go positive straight away and it is a firm line very trustworthy.lol

Hi, I hope you don’t mind me jumping in. I was having a few symptoms & decided to test Friday at roughly 11dpo. I got a faint blue line in about a minute - any other time I’ve tested in my life it’s been stark white. I did another test the following day & the line was more or less the same, if not a tiny bit darker. I decided to do a clear blue digital (in the middle of last night cos I was desperate to pee!) and the result is ‘not pregnant.’

I’ve since been down a rabbit hole & now thinking the original clear blue tests were evaps as they are on the thin side (even though they came up within a minute?!). Any thoughts? I’ve ordered pink dye tests but they’re arriving tomorrow (day my period is due) - so just looking to torture myself until then really :)

Sorry to hear that OP. 10dpo is still early though, do you think you’ll test again?

I'm going to wait until 14dpo, as that's when Flo is telling me to test. I'll be on cd41 by then so hopefully I'd have a definite answer by then. It seems I tried to ovulate on cd5 but failed. Then ovulated on cd25 as I had 2 days of peak OPKs. I think I may have had a chemical (although not 100% sure) in October as was getting vvfls for a few weeks, then nothing. So that could be why my cycles are going a bit crazy!

Not at all! It's difficult to say as I've had some very convincing lines on these in the past and ended up being evaps. I'd use the pink dyes when they arrive and go from there. At 14dpo hopefully you'll get a definite answer. Good luck x

How are you doing today? I've got the tests, including a digital so will be doing them later. I'm really confused about my dates, as Flo is saying 10dpo and Premom is saying 12! 🤯 I definitely ovulated around the 19th as had a strong peak

I did a pink dye frer yesterday afternoon & it was positive! So think maybe I was just too early for the digital one? Who knows. I would have been 12/13dpo when I tested. But that’s 2diff brand tests saying positive & I’ve never had a hint of a line my whole life until now x

Massive congratulations!! I've just taken one, only with an hour hold and not even a hint of a line. So definitely feel I'm out again this month, as i've got no symptoms at all. I'm still going to do another with FMU but not feeling too hopeful x

Goodness these tests are so difficult to read aren't they! I have to start medication at the first sign of a positive and have only been able to get early CBs so when I do start testing in a day or two I hope I dont get Evaps.

So after a 4 hour hold I think I finally have my BFP. Hopefully FMU will be stronger
