17dpo negative tests

Just looking to see if anyone has been in the same position. I came off the pill & took a few weeks to ovulate. I am positive I ovulated as I had a shit ton of ewcm in the days leading up to the solid smiley face on clear blue ovulation tests which I got on 3rd December. The ewcm began to dry up by the afternoon of 4th. This will be my 4th pregnancy that we are trying for & I haven't had any of the symptoms I usually get when pregnant. Only thing is I feel a little nauseous but I have had hyperemesis with every other pregnancy so this is nothing in comparison. I really do keep feeling like my period is just around the corner. I have all the pms symptoms but nothing appears. What could the reason be for not having a period after ovulation if not pregnancy? I have had negative pregnancy tests (last one was asda cheapy 2 days ago but have also tried frer multiple times since about 11dpo)

Bump . Hoping someone has experience of the same. I just want my period to arrive now so I can start a new month.

I'm 13dpo and still getting negatives. Last cycle I was 4 weeks late for AF. I don't usually get PMS, but I've been getting really sore boobs, sharp pains and major loss of appetite, but they've now disappeared so I'm just waiting for AF now. I also had a very peak ovulation test 2 days ago, 2 weeks after my last, which may suggest my body failed ovulation the last time and tried again. Could this be the case for you too? Hoping you either get a bfp or AF soon, it's awful not knowing what's going on 😪

Yes exactly same boat . Gosh 4 weeks late must have been torture. Possibly the same because I stopped tracking ovulation after the solid smiley. I haven't had any ovulation symptoms since but full on pms like AF is trying to arrive. I'm so hormonal I'm losing my temper with everyone over small things.

I'm in a similar situation to you. Nearly 3 weeks late and several BFN! This is our third baby ttc and never experienced a missed period, apart from when I was pregnant with my DD's 😭 as much as I'd rather be pregnant.. I've had that many bfn, I don't think I've ever wanted to see AF so much before 😂 It would even make my Christmas if it rocked up Christmas Day!

Haha loz exactly what a welcome Christmas present that would be 🤣. I have got the worst period cramps all day today its just taunting me now. You never know though you may have ovulated again if it's been that long?

Oh my goodness! I am exactly the same! I just want my period to arrive! I’m 4 days late and testing negative. I just want this cycle over.

2petrabbits tomorrow it will be 3 weeks since ovulation . I want to be able to start a cycle again too. If we are 100% not pregnant then there is no saying we can't ovulate again before AF right ? This is torture how grateful some of us will be to see AF

@2petrabbits no nothing but I did a test this morning and it was a very definite negative . How about you ?

@Gingernut1989 AF came on during Christmas dinner. I’m relieved it arrived but it was kind of gutting sitting surrounded by everyone else’s kids. But we move on… hope your new cycle can start soon!

@2petrabbits nope still no period for me. I've got the GP on 28th so will see how that goes. I would welcome AF now I just want to be able to start a new cycle and I can't do that until AF shows up. I'm sorry about the arrival on christmas day what a shit time . Fingers crossed for this month for you xx

My period is now almost 2 weeks late. I have the doctors today at 7pm no idea what is going on but I am so eager to start a new month of ttc this is just holding me back massively. I'm starting to overthink things like ectopic and can you have one and get a negative hpt. Just waiting to find out what the GP says.

Why is it holding you back? just go on about your life and DTD as you normally would! The tests are negative.. just try to relax and hopefully it will happen for you :)

I guess holding me back was the wrong wording. We are quite sexually active anyway so are still dtd pretty much daily as we have done for years. When not ttc we probably at least 50% of the time finish with a bj and at least anal once a week or finish in other ways (so so sorry for the tmi) but if I knew it was "time" I'd make sure he finished in the right place & then continue our normal sex life during the tww.

I would just like my period to come so I can start checking ovulation again. Or to know what the sitch is at least. It's frustrating to have ovulated around 4th December and be almost a month later with no period 😫 .

@Loz1093 I've got to make an appointment for blood tests and they are putting me on metformin if anyone else has taken this or knows anything about it ? He asked when my last period was and I said 4 years ago then he started to ask about my alopecia diagnosis so possibly pcos.

I am lucky I already have 2 children . They are aged 15 and 12. The GP actually said "why are you wanting to grow your family now at this stage?" And i was like "because I do??" Haha .

That's just utter madness! They shouldn't even be allowed to question if you want more children or not! I hope so thing comes of going on metformin 🤞🏼

AF turned up Christmas morning! I must say it was most welcome. Just shy of 3 weeks late.. still no idea why. Keeping fingers and toes crossed for you! Keep us updated x

I'm pregnant. Still in shock. I don't know what happened but still no period and I went to the GP with other symptoms I thought something was wrong. They did a test and I'm pregnant !

The doctor wrapped it up and said "I want you to frame this and remember the day you told the doctor to fuck off" because I was in so much shock. This means I must be around 9 weeks and had no idea.

Wait, you were taking tests for 3 weeks and not getting a positive? How the fuck is that possible?!

It's it definitely a pregnancy from December, or could it be one from the last couple of weeks?

I honestly don't know and I am wondering how common a false positive is ? I got a positive ovulation test solid smiley face on 2nd December. I had ewcm and everything was indicating "go time" I have had no period since or any ewcm . In fact I have actually had thrush twice and been really dry. I have had blood tests to test for androgens or something because I was suffering from hair loss and also had had no period . I kept testing for ovulation and haven't had a smiley face since 2nd December. I woke up 3am the other morning in agony and went to the GP that day saying "something is wrong with me I have sharp ovary pain . I am not pregnant" she did the test and bang I was.

I just don't know . I have had hyperemesis with other pregnancies so I don't understand why I've had nothing at all this time. It feels off so I don't want to get too excited. I'm overthinking what if it's something serious giving out a false positive? The more I have had time to think and the more I'm not having any other symptoms I am starting to panic.
